Evangelical Church records by Leedy: Adam Miller, one of two men associated with Jacob Albright, founder of the Evangelical Church. Adam one of Albright's first converts in Northampton Co. Pa. and one of the original members in 1800. He was also one of the 14 lay ministers who helped ordain Jacob Albright to the gospel ministry. Early in the 1800's Adam Miller moved to Crawford Co. where he died in 1848, aged 81. One of his daus. Sarah Miller Hegeman, wf of Wm. Hegeman held camp meetings in Wayne Co. 0.
Daniel Albright a bro. of Jacob. Daniel was b. in Berks co. Pa. ca 1776. His father was the 1st of 3 bro who came from Germany. In 1813 Daniel moved to near Lisbon, Ohio and his son Joseph married here in 1827 and in 1830 moved on a farm in Whetstone Twp. Crawford Co. 0.
John Miller came with family from Pa. locating near New Winchester. Through John Seybert, the family had been converted shortly after coming from Germany. John Miller d. 1859 and Mrs. Miller 1867.
Widow Magdalene Aumiller and 2 sons George and Daniel settled 2 miles west of Bucyrus in 1828. They came from Union Co. Pa. where Magdalene and her husband John Aumiller Sr. came from France with British soldiers, but joined the Rev. War for the Americans. Daniel Aumiller m. Sarah Boyer in 1836. She and her parents John & Sarah Boyer were all Evangelicals. The latter died in Union Co. Pa., 1825 Daniel Aumiller, a grandson of Daniel and Sarah gave 30 acres of land to Bucyrus for a city park.
