Complications Cause of Death
Of Christ J. Yeiter, Many Years Galion Stone Mason

Christ J. Yeiter, well known stone mason, passed away this morning at 5:20 o'clock at the home of his son, Frank Yeiter, corner of Murray and Smith Streets. Mr. Yeiter was forced to abandon his work last October when he was taken ill and has been ailing since that time with complications.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Frank Yeiter home on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. F. W. Leich, pastor of the First Reformed church will be the officiating minister. Burial will be made in Fairview cemetery. Peter Boehm & Son, funeral directors.

Mr. Yeiter was born in Germany on September 22, 1848, having reached the age of 71 years, 3 months, and 20 days. About forty-nine years ago he married Miss Louisa Scheffler, in Galion, she having preceded him in death about five years ago. There were eleven children born to the union, of whom five are deceased. For many years Mr. Yeiter has resided in Galion and spent the greater part of his life as a stone mason.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W. Baldinger, Miss Hilda Yeiter; four sons, John Yeiter, Charles Yeiter, Frank Yeiter, and Henry Yeiter, all of whom make their home in Galion.

Summons Come to Jacob Baldinger
Had Been in Failing Health Several Months

At his home at 41 Allen Street, Jacob Baldinger, for many years a Galion resident passed away this morning at 1:30 o'clock, after having been in declining health since Christmas. He had been confined to his bed for the past four weeks. Funeral services for the deceased will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the residence, and will be private. Rev. C.W. Warner, pastor of the Free Methodist church, will officiate with interment at Fairview Cemetery. Neighbors and friends who wish to view the remains, may have the opportunity to do so up until Friday noon.

Jacob Baldinger was born in this city, December 9, 1854, the son of Henry and Catherine Baldinger, and was in his sixty-ninth year. His marriage to Miss Viola Garverick was solemnized at Mt. Gilead. She survives him with two sons, Wilbur Oscar Baldinger, of 39 Allen street, and Wilfred Anthony Baldinger, of 918 Smith street. The deceased also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Schwartz, of Columbus; Mrs. Elizabeth Bethe, of Danville, Ill., and Mrs. Catherine Durtschi?, of South Market street, this city; and one brother, Matthias Baldinger, of Columbus.

C.S. Garverick Taken By Death
Funeral Monday For Civil War Veteran, Aged 91 Who Marched With Sherman

Charles S. Garverick, aged 91, one of the oldest residents of the city, Civil War veteran who took part in General Sherman's famous march to the sea, passed away Friday evening at 9:15 o'clock at his home, 122 Second Avenue after an illness of the past week's duration. Heart trouble was the cause of death.

Deceased was born January 31, 1843, in York County, Pa., the son of Eunie and Sulvena (Smith) Garverick. On May 9, 1867, he was married to Miss Elizabeth Sipes, who preceded him in death in 1921. He was then wed to Miss Anna Watson.

Surviving, besides the widow, are six children: Mrs. Viola Baldinger, Galion; Siebert Garverick of New Winchester; Mrs. William A. Miller, of West Point; Mrs. Clarence Chubb and Mrs. H.L. Chubb of Galion. There are also three brothers and four sisters living and 43 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death.

Mr. Garverick was enlisted in the Union Army on August 25, 1862 and was discharged on July 13, 1865. He was a private in Company K, 81st Regiment, Ohio Infantry.

For years he followed the occupation of farming, four miles south of Galion, near West Point.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m., in the Volk Funeral Home, with the Rev. J.H. Patterson of North Robinson in charge. Interment will be made in the Iberia Cemetery. Friends are requested please to omit flowers. Remains may be viewed at the Funeral Home anytime.
