The Cleveland District Round Table is a discussion group of the leadership of the genealogical societies in the five-county district which includes Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, and Medina. It meets twice a year, May and October to exchange information on the happenings within their organizations. Some of the groups represented at these meetings, in addition to the Ohio Genealogical Society chapters, include religious, nationality, ethnic, locality, and computer interest groups. Monday 2 November 2009 7:30 pm Laura Hine will present "Digging in your Dr. Denton's" to Cuyahoga Valley Genealogical Society about her web sites for Cuyahoga Research and offer tips and resources. Her pages include "Cleveland Pastors and Their Churches," "Marriage Volumes and Years," Cleveland Street Name Changes," and "FAQs for Genealogy Research in Cuyahoga County."

Wednesday 4 November 2009 1:00-2:30 p.m. Cuyahoga West Chapter OGS offers a free Family History Research Help Session, Conference Room, Westlake Porter Public Library, 27333 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake.

Wednesday 4 November 2009 7:30 pm Members Cynthia Spikell and Adelle Gloger will be bringing us all of the latest information from the 29th International Conference on Jewish Genealogy which is being held in Philadelphia from August 2 - 9, 2009. This will be a great opportunity to learn what’s new and how to access it.

Saturday 7 November 2009 9:30 am - 4:00 pm "Discovering Your Appalachian Ancestors" a free workshop will be hosted by Special Collections Division of the Akron-Summit County Public Library and Summit Co. Sunday, 8 November 2009 - 2:00 pm - Medina County Genealogical Society meets. "One Man's Search for Civil War Gravesites" presented by Harold George, Civil War reenactor and 1st Lieutenant with the 9th Ohio Light Artillery. Mr. George will appear in costume to outline the search for the gravesites of all 240 volunteers from four Ohio counties who served in this unit. - Social time begins at 1:30pm

Thursday 12 November 2009 7:00 pm The first joint gathering of Rockport Township’s 4 Historical Societies is presenting "Rockport’s Interurban Railways 1893-1938" at the Rocker River Senior Center 21016 Hilliard Rd. It is presented by Ralph Pfinsten of West Park Historical Society. Books and Collectibles will be offered for sale at this event.
