The Cleveland District Round Table is a discussion group of the leadership of the genealogical societies in the five-county district which includes Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, and Medina. It meets twice a year, May and October to exchange information on the happenings within the organizations. Some of the groups represented at these meetings, in addition to the Ohio Genealogical Society chapters, include religious, nationality, ethnic, locality, and computer interest groups. All are welcome to attend. Agendae are sent out in advance, but any and all are welcome to attend. CDRT was founded by Jean Barnes, then OGS Cleveland District Trustee, She retired her trusteeship in 2009. Ohio Genealogical Society honored her by making her a Fellow of the OGS in 2009 and you can see her picture here. The current District Trustees are Margaret Cheney and Deborah Abbott. We are glad to have both of them in the leadership of this organization.
