I am researching the MOON families of Clinton county. According to a written record of the families done by Joseph MOON on August 1, 1891, the families of his uncles, Daniel and Joseph settled in Clinton county in the spring of 1808, near the site of Martinsville. Following in the fall were the families of Samuel and John MOON and John ROUTH (brother in law). Quoted from the account is; "The MOON colony were about the first settlers of what is now Clark Township - in fact the very founders of that section of Clinton County." I would like to hear from anyone who is researching this family. Thanks .
