Theresa
Schiesl left her family town of Manitowoc, WI, to work as a
housekeep / maid for a family in Milwaukee. It was in Milwaukee
where she met Harry David Veidt. Harry was in town working as a
clerk in a butcher shop with his brother. They were both living
with their older sister. It is supposed that they married in
Milwaukee in 1903 and then moved back to Middletown, the Veidt
hometown. Harry worked many years at a paper company there in
Middletown
Mrs. Harry Veidt (Tessie) hosted many parties at "their beautiful
home on Forest Avenue" and got mention many times in The Hamilton
Evening News.
