Barbara BRANDENBURG-LOWERY-LEAK, went peacefully to be with our Lord on February 23, 2006. She was 54 years old and had just recently been diagnosed with cell cancer. She leaves her husband, John; mother, Marilynn Leak; sons, Jerry and Ryan Lowery; brothers, James A. Leak (Linda) and Chuck Leak; sister, Kathy Dunlap (Ken); nephews, Robert (Bo) Leek, Joseph Dunlap; nieces, McKenzie Dunlap; granddaughters, Savannah Lowery and Chrisie Lowery; two great-nephews, Derek Leak and James Dean Leak. She was preceded in death by her father, James C. Leak. She truly was grateful for all her family and friends and her special friend, Carolyn Templeton who guided her to our Lord. Private service with Stine Kilburn Funeral Home.

Bass Brandenburg 
    Bass Brandenburg Sr., 80, of 624 Moore St., died at 7 a.m.
    Mr. Brandenburg was born in Lee County, Ky., and was retired from Armco Steel Corp. where he worked in the coating department. He had worked at Armco for 35 years.
    He was an Army veteran and was a member of the American Legion. He was also a member of the Eagles lodge 528 and the Moose lodge 501.
    Survivors include his wife, Reva; seven sons, Earl, Bass Jr., William, Jess and the Rev. Denzil Brandenburg, all of Middletown, Harold of Trotwood and Dale of Troy; five daughters, Mrs. Lucille Williams, Mrs. Pauline Ferguson and Mrs. Juanita Frisch, all of Middletown, Miss June Brandenburg of Dayton and Mrs. Patty Stephens of Morehead, Ky.; a step-daughter Mrs. Betty White of Middletown; two brothers, Clay of Middletown and Lee of Beattyville, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. Verdie Anes of Winchester, and Mrs. Vinnie Napier of Beattyvile, Ky.; 37 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
    Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, the Rev. Henry Howard officiating. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Bass Brandenburg Jr.
    Bass Brandenburg Jr.,  age 82, of Franklin, died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the Sycamore Hospital. He was born February 27, 1926 in Middletown, the son of Bass Brandenburg and Rosa (Whitaker) Brandenburg. Mr. Brandenburg was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He worked as the head custodian at Vail Middle School.
    He is survived by his wife, Virginia Carroll (Dingus) Brandenburg; four daughters, Kathy Lykins of Middletown, Diana (Ernest) Love of Cincinnati, Tammy (Travis) Sigler of Middletown, Lisa (Jim) Souders of Franklin; three sons, Dennis (Debi) Cantrell of Dayton, Randy (Patricia) Cantrell and Todd (Darlene) Cantrell both of Middletown; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; three sisters, Pauline Ferguson, June Brandenburg, Patty Stephens; and three brothers, Harold, Earl, and Denzil Brandenburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Juanita Frisch, Lucille Williams; and three brothers, Bill, Jesse, and Dale.       Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with the Reverend Daniel Hidlebaugh officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Butler County Memorial Park.

Bertha Brandenburg
    Bertha Mae (nee Lewis) Brandenburg, 92, of South Lebanon since 1944, died April 19, 2000, at her home.
    She was born in Ezel, Ky., on June 26, 1907, to James T. and Joan (nee Cecil) Lewis and was a member of the Kings Point Church of God. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidering, reading and canning foods. Mrs. Brandenburg was a dedicated homemaker and mother.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Conley Morgan Brandenburg (Jan. 19, 1982); and brothers Winifred, Elmer and Courtney Lewis.
    Survivors include sons Conley M. Brandenburg Jr. of Lebanon and Richard Brandenburg of South Lebanon; daughters Pauline Johnson, Lillian Johnson, Geneva Kilburn, all of Lebanon, Janet Napier and Phyllis Chasteen, both of South Lebanon; brothers Ezra Lewis of Lebanon and Paul Lewis of Wilmington; a sister Goldie Barnhart of Clarksville; 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
    Visitation and funeral service were held April 21 at the Kings Point Church of God with Pastor Randy Ballard officiating. Interment in Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon. Arrangements by Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.

Bob Brandenburg
    Bob Brandenburg, 83, of Middletown, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at his residence. 
    He was born in Beattyville, Ky., on Feb. 8, 1921 to parents Daniel S. and Jane (Taylor) Brandenburg. 
    Mr. Brandenburg served in the U.S. Army, 12th Army Division, 43rd Tank Battalion during World War II. He was wounded in Germany on April 8, 1944, and received a Purple Heart. He was a 1940 graduate of Lee County High School. The majority of his work life was as a salesman. He owned a construction company for 10 years, and retired from Montgomery Ward.     
    After retiring, he worked for Williams Auto Sales and Central Auto Sales for five years. Bob was a member of Grace Baptist Church for 45 years and was a four-year volunteer for Hospice of Middletown. 
    He is survived by his daughter, Judy (Jeff) Wilbers of Middletown; three granddaughters, Amy (Keith) Wicker and Heather (Jim) Zaremski, both of Trenton, and Nicole Jackson of Middletown; eight great grandchildren; and his special friend, Maggie. 
    He was preceded in death by his wife Noleeka “Jeri” Brandenburg on Feb. 20, 1998; a son, Robert D. Brandenburg; his parents; and an infant brother and infant sister. 
    ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2004 at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Drive, with the Rev. Howard Sears officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Bobby Joe BRANDENBURG, age 54, of Springboro, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Kettering Medical Center. Born April 28, 1951 in Blanchester, Ohio, the son of Robert and Beulah (Terry) Brandenburg. He was a participant in the Production Services Organization in Lebanon for many years and dearly loved being with his caring family and camping and fishing. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim Brandenburg. He is survived by his brother, Dennis Brandenburg of Springboro, and sisters, Madeline Taulbee of Centerville, Irene Wood of Lebanon, Brenda Jarrell of North Carolina, and Agnes Speer of Oregonia; very special friends, Brad and Sandy Cramer; eighteen nieces and nephews and nineteen great-nieces and nephews. Visitation and funeral service was held Monday, May 2, 2005 at Stine-Kilburn Funeral Home, Lebanon with Rev. Lester Jones officiating. Burial was in the Miami Valley Memorial Gardens, Centerville.

BRANDENBURG, 84, of Middletown, died Monday, February 20, 2012, at home. She was born in Middletown on December 14, 1927 to parents John and Mary (Stiglitz) Lucas. Cecilia was a social worker for more than 20 years. She worked with United Way of Middletown Family Services and then as a case worker for Hope House. She earned a degree in Lay Pastoral Ministry from the Athenaeum of Ohio, the graduate school of theology sponsored by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Mrs. Brandenburg is survived by her sons, David Brandenburg & Robert Brandenburg; daughters, Claudia (Dean) Kotchka, Susan E. Nicholson & Tracy A. (Burak Kazaz) Brandenburg; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Brandenburg; parents; brother, Robert Lucas; and sister, Cornelia Wooldridge. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Holy Name Catholic Church, 222 Hamilton Ave., Trenton with Father Thomas H. McCarthy as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:30 - 11:30 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Chalmer "Bud" E. BRANDENBURG
, of Lebanon passed away Friday evening July 15, 2005 at his home. Bud was born in Gratis the son of Jesse and Henretta (Moses) Brandenburg. He was a lifetime farmer and served his country in the Air Force during WWII. He was awarded 4 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, American Theatre Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon and a WWII Victory Medal. Bud was a longtime member of the Springboro United Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife Lois of 59 years, and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday 10:00 am at the Anderson Funeral Home 40 N. Main St Springboro. Visitation will be Monday 5 - 7 pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery.

Charles Brandenburg
    Charles Brandenburg Sr., 83, died at 8:10 p.m. yesterday at Middletown Hospital, following a heart attack suffered earlier in the evening at his home on Acadia Drive. He had been in failing health two years.
    Mr. Brandenburg retired in 1950 after being employed 10 years by the Crystal Tissue Co. He was a member of the Logan Avenue Church of Christ. Born in Beattyville, Ky., he had been a resident of Middletown since 1928.
    Surviving are his wife, Daisy; four daughters, Mrs. Oma Knapp of Middletown, Mrs. Virginia Allen of Trenton, Mrs. Carrie Edwards of Loveland and Mrs. Pearl Martin of Clarksville; five sons, Howard, Charles Jr and the Rev. Eugene Brandenburg, all of Middletown, and Woodrow and Sidney of Franklin Rt. 1; 39 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Logan Avenue Church of Christ, with the Rev. Eston Vanderveer officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery.
    Friends may call at Riggs Funeral Home tomorrow from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church Wednesday after 1 p.m.

    Charles Brandenburg, 78, 3406 Grand Ave., died Saturday morning at Middletown Regional Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
    Mr. Brandenburg was retired from the maintenance department of Aeronca Manufacturing, and was a member of the Grace Baptist Church and Jefferson Masonic Lodge.
    He is survived by his wife, Olive; two daughters, Mrs. Charlene Caudill of Middletown and Mrs. Arnita Frongia of Franklin; three sons, Richard and Darrell, both of Middletown, and Gerald of Woodbridge, Va.; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Oma Knapp of Middletown and Mrs. Virginia Allen of Palm Bay, Fla.; and three brothers, Howard of Monroe and Sidney and Woodrow, both of Franklin.
    Visitation will be from noon till 2 p.m. Monday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home.
    Graveside services will be held at 2:30 at Poasttown Cemetery, the Rev. Charles Denny officiating.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Charles [Chuck] E. BRANDENBURG III age 55 of Hamilton entered into eternal life Saturday, January 22, 2011, at Fort Hamilton Hospital . He was born in Silver Grove, Kentucky on November 7, 1955. Chuck was a retired medical transporter for Med Corp. Survivors include his two children, Donald and Melissa Brandenburg; a brother, Branden Brandenburg; a sister, Dawn (Robert) Leece; step-mother, Dorothy Brandenburg; father-in-law, Donald Arent; sisters-in-law, Kathy Arent, Susan (Mike) Garrett, and Barbara Baldwin; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria (Arent) Brandenburg; his father and mother, Charles E. Brandenburg Jr and Helen J. Slocum; mother-in-law, Wanda Arent; sister-in-law, Roxanne M. Brandenburg. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, January 27, 2011, in the Fairfield Church of Christ, 745 Symmes Rd. Memorials are suggested to the family of Charles Brandenburg.

Charles Earl Brandy BRANDENBURG
, 80 passed away January 9, 2010 at Hospice of Butler and Warren County. The son of Mary (Curry) and Calvin Brandenburg he was a lifetime Franklin resident. Brandy fell in love with baseball as a young boy and was a huge fan of the Cincinnati Reds. He played baseball, football and basketball for the Franklin Wildcats and was also active in Hi-Y during High School. Prior to graduating from Wilmington College, he studied chemistry, math. physics, and geology. He also played basketball for the WC Quakers and he was a member of Gamma Phi Gamma fraternity. Following college, Brandy married his longtime sweetheart, Constance (Connie) Bailey in 1951. He served in the United States Army for the following 2 years before returning to Franklin to raise his family. Brandy and Connie have 4 children; Marilyn Winn, Charles (Paula), James (Stacy), and Gail Brandenburg. They have 4 grandchildren, Andrew and Nichola Winn, and Brian and Jessica Brandenburg. Among his many contributions to the City of Franklin, he was instrumental in the organization and success of the Franklin Lions Club. As President he led this group in it's community service efforts. Most notably the development of the Lions Community Park. In 1962 Charles opened Brandenburg's Appliance Center on South Main St. Here he sold household appliances to his friends and neighbors for more than 30 years. Brandy will be deeply missed by his wife, family and friends. He was a man of strength, wisdom and character. Contributions may be made to the American Legion, or the Franklin Area Community Services. Funeral services will be Thursday 11:00 am at the Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2ND. St. Franklin. Visitation will be Wednesday 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will be in Woodhill Cemetery.

    Chester G. Brandenburg, 63, of 1910 Grand Ave., died Monday at the Middletown Hospital, where he had been a patient since Oct. 6, 1972
    Mr. Brandenburg had been employed by Diamond National Corp. since 1951.
    He was born in Beattyville, Ky., and was a member of Eagles Lodge 528 and the Knights of Pythias LaFayette Lodge 37.
    Surviving are his wife Minne; two daughters, Mrs. Jeanne Duff of Middletown and Mrs. Betty Milner of Richmond, Ind.; a son, Paul of Kettering; and six grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 3 Wednesday at the McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with the Rev. J. Herschel Caudill officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery.
    There will be no visitations. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the heart fund.

Clyde "Hog" Brandenburg
    Clyde "Hog" Brandenburg, age 85, of St. Clair Township, passed away at Butler County Care Facility Thursday August 7, 1997 at 10:30 a.m.  He was born in Owsley County, Kentucky the son of Robert G. and Mattie (Rice)
Brandenburg.
    Clyde was a member of the Richmond Rd. Baptist Church; the Hugh Bates Lodge #686 F&AM; the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati and was the owner/operator of Miami Auto Sales for twenty years, retiring in 1973. In
1929 in Dayton, Ohio he was married to Vivian Black and she preceded him in death in 1971; in 1973, in Tennessee, he was married to Naomi Rice. 
    He is survived by his wife, Naomi Brandenburg of St. Clair Township, two sons, Richard Brandenburg of New Miami; Donald and his wife Carm Brandenburg of Hamilton; one sister, Mae Black of New Miami; a devoted granddaughter, whom he raised, Diana and her husband Richard Hinkel, of Hamilton and sixteen additional grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Delores Downey in 1976; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Ann Brandenburg in 1995; four brothers, Finley, William, Charlie, and Park and; two sisters,  Lizzie Steele and Imogene Laws, one great-grandson, Chris Grammell.
    Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millvillle Ave. Monday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Tillett, pastor of the Richmond Rd. Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Flats Cemetery.
    Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Hugh Bates Lodge #686 F&AM will hold services Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by Scottish Rite Ring Service.

    Mrs. Daisy Brandenburg, 91, formerly of Mary Etta Street, died at 2 a.m. today at Garden Manor Extended Care Center, where she had been a patient 10 months. Her husband, Charles died in 1961.
    Surviving are five sons, Eugene, Charles and Woodrow of Middletown, Howard of Monroe and Sidney of Franklin; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Martin of Clarksville, Mrs. Oma Knapp of Middletown and Mrs. Virginia Allen on Trenton; 42 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Riggs Funeral Home, with Charles Retherford officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery.

Dennis Ray BRANDENBURG, age 51 of Franklin and formerly of Springboro, passed peacefully Saturday February 3, 2007 at University Hospital of Cincinnati. Born April 19, 1955 in Dayton, the son of Robert and Beulah (Terry) Brandenburg, he was a loving son, brother and uncle. He had attended Springboro High School and enjoyed camping and fishing with his brothers and friends at Caesar's Creek Lake. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jimmy and Bobby Joe Brandenburg and niece Theresa Bruner, he is survived by four sisters Madeline Taulbee of Centerville, Agnes Speer of Oregon, Brenda Jarrell of North Carolina and Irene Wood of Lebanon and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends. Private services will be held at teh convenience of the family. Arrangements by Stine Kilburn FH, Lebanon.

Earl BRANDENBURG,  age 86, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born November 29, 1924 in Middletown, OH to Bass and Rose (Whitaker) Brandenburg. He worked at Armco Steel for 38 years, retiring in 1976. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Georgia Brandenburg in 1999; sisters, Sandy Brandenburg, Lucille Williams and Juanita Frisch; brothers, Billy, Jessie, Bass Jr., and Dale Brandenburg; grandson, Chris Wall. Earl is survived by his children, Carolyn (Willie) Edwards, Sandy (Cliff) Swafford, Rita Spencer, Sonny (Kim) Brandenburg, Rob (Terri) Brandenburg, Carrie (Terry) Flesher, Randy (Debbie) Brandenburg, Michael (Kim) Brandenburg, Bonnie Hopkins, Roger (Kelli) Brandenburg; 19 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Harold (Jan) and Denzil (Nancy) Brandenburg; sisters, Pauline Ferguson, June Brandenburg and Patty (Ralph) Stevens. Visitation will be held Friday, July 22, 20ll from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Baker-Stevens- Parramore Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow on Friday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Edward R. BRANDENBURG, age 92, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at the Matrix Health Center in Oxford. Born in Booneville, Kentucky, on March 27, 1913, he was the son of the late Charles and Alice (Sternberg) Brandenburg. In Beattyville, Kentucky, on October 16, 1937, Edward married Mabel Spicer. Mabel and Ed's marriage of 67 years has been a true example of love and devotion to many. He was employed with Mosler Safe Company for 36 years retiring in 1979, a Butler County Bee Inspector, a member and deacon at the Richmond Road Baptist Church and Ed was an avid gardener. Many people looked forward each summer to his roadside vegetable stand on Stahlheber Road. Edward is survived by his wife, Mabel; sons Douglas Edward Brandenburg and his wife Susan of Chesterfield, Virginia, and James Stephen Brandenburg and his wife Margy of Oxford. Ed is also survived by his two grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Stacy Paulette and her husband Terry and Todd Brandenburg and his wife Heather both of Richmond, Virginia; two great-grandchildren Lindsey and Matthew Paulette; and sister Marie Riffle of Centerville, Ohio. Edward was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Ed will be remembered for his love of God, his love for his family and country and his sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton, at 2pm on Monday, July 18, 2005, with Rev. Paul Tillett officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2pm at the funeral home. Edwin Harold BRANDENBURGER, age 87, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away February 9, 2007 at Mercy Franciscan Retirement Community at Shroder, where he had resided since August 2005. He was born May 20, 1919 in Detroit, Michigan and lived in Hamilton most of his life. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1939. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. He was a Tech 5 in the 101st Airborne Glider Corps, and landed on Utah Beach on D-Day. He was a crew leader for Champion Paper Company retiring in 1993 after 47 years of service. He was confirmed at St. Veronica's Church of Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen (Zielinska) Brandenburger, and his wife, Mary Ann (Arent) Brandenburger in 1994. He is survived by one son, Mark Brandenburger, wife Vickie Moreland, of Hamilton, Ohio, one granddaughter, Jennifer Leonard, husband James C. of West Chester, Ohio, three great grandchildren, Daniel, Thomas and Bethany, three brothers, William Brandenburger, Honolulu, Hawaii, Vernon Brandenburger, wife Velma, of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Gerald Brandenburger of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Rose Hill Burial Park, Hamilton. Memorial contributions may be made ot Mercy Franciscan at Shroder, 1302 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, Ohio.

Eugene Brandenburg
    Eugene Brandenburg, 82, died Friday at the Barbara Park Convalescent Center where he had been a patient for the past two days.
    Mr. Brandenburg had been ill for some seven weeks and had lived at 413 Sutphin St prior to moving to Barbara Park. Born in Beattyville, Ky., he had lived in Middletown most of his life. He worked at Armco for 44 years, retiring in 1968 as a crane operator. He was also an elder and minister at Middletown Churches of Christ for 60 years and was a member of the Bonita Drive Church of Christ.
    He is survived by his wife, Martha; two sons, Hubert L. of Hamilton and James A. of Freemont, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Irene Conrad of  Marion, Ind., Mrs. Mildred Jones of Hamilton, Mrs. Eleanor Reed of Trenton, Mrs. Dorothy Roth of Fairfield and Mrs. Lucille Perkins of Middletown; four stepsons, Don Hartbarger of Franklin, Kerry Hartbarger of Middletown, Ron Hartbarger of West  Elkton and David Hartbarger of Florida; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Kay Thomas of Phoenix, and Mrs. Lois Robinson, Mrs. Margie Banks, and Mrs. Beth Halsey all of Middltown,
    He is also survived by four brothers, Charles, Woodrow and Ashley, all of Middletown, and Howard of Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Martin of Clarksville, Ohio, Mrs. Oma Knapp of Middletown, and Mrs. Virginia Allen of Palm Bay, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; 17 step grandchildren;and seven step- great-grandchildren.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Bonita Drive Church of Christ, with James Kinser officiating and burial in Woodside Cemetery. Friends may call at the Breitenbach-McCoy- Leffler Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Sunday evening.
    The family suggests memorial contribution to the Midwestern Children's Home, Pleasant Plains, Ohio, in care of the Bonita Drive Church of Christ, 4609 Bonita Drive, Middletown, Ohio 45044.

BRANDENBURG, 71, a lifetime Morrow resident, died Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Bethesda North Hospital. Born in Morrow on May 10, 1940 to Chester & Wilma (nee: Corwin) Brandenburg, he was a graduate of Little Miami High School and a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Brandenburg owned & operated an auto repair shop called Nuts & Bolts and worked on the family farm for many years. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jane (nee: Motz) Brandenburg, one son, Gary R. Brandenburg Jr. (Sharon) of Lebanon, two daughters, Vicki Brandenburg of Morrow and Linda Socia (Keith) of Williamsburg, two sisters, Janine Davidson of Goshen and Sue Binder of Hebron, KY, five grandchildren and two step- grandchildren. Visitation was held Monday, March 5th, 5-7:00 PM, with the funeral service immediately following, all at Vale- Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow. A graveside service took place Tuesday, March 6th, 10:00 AM, at the Morrow Cemetery.

George P. Brandenburg Dies Wednesday
    George P. Brandenburg, 38, proprietor of a barber shop at 40 South Broad Street, died early Wednesday morning at his home, 67 South Main Street, from a heart attack.
    Although he had been ill several weeks, he was in his shop Tuesday and worked the full day. Complication of ailments had under minded his health recently, although heart disease was given as the immediate cause of death.
    As a business man, the Broad Street barber was a popular and earned large patronage by his ability and his personable manner.
    He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Ruth Brandenburg; two stepchildren, Edward and Delores Fletcher; one daughter, Emma Dean Brandenburg, and one sister, Ruth Brandenburg of Franklin.
    The funeral will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the McCoy Funeral Home. Friends will be received there after 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. I. M. McVey of Calvary Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery.

George Paul BRANDENBURG, 67, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Bethesda North Hospital. Born in Lebanon on May 2, 1944 to the late George W. & Edyth (nee: Tucker) Brandenburg. He received his Juris Doctor Degree from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law, Northern Kentucky University, and enjoyed a successful career as an attorney. Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Beverly (nee: Gold) Brandenburg, three sons, Thomas, Douglas and Timothy (Mary) Brandenburg, and four grandchildren, Ashley, Kristin, DJ and Kelly. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 3rd, 1:00 PM, at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.

Geraldine Brandenburg, age 84, of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at the Ft. Hamilton Hospital. Born in Berea, Kentucky, on July 16, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John and Lula (Gabbard) Hazelwood. Geraldine was married to Herschel Brandenburg on November 11, 1945, in Hamilton, Ohio, and he preceded her in death in November 1973. She was a carpenter for the Pease Company. Geraldine is survived by her two sons, James Brandenburg of Hamilton, and Donald Brandenburg and his wife Rebecca of Seven Mile; three brothers, John Hazelwood and his wife Emma Jo of Hamilton, Finley Hazelwood and his wife Gracie of Millville and Larry Hazelwood of Blanchester, Ohio; two sisters, Virginia Blair and her husband Bill of Hamilton, and Jewel Harding of Hamilton; grandchildren Joshua and Amanda Brandenburg, Jason and Lisa Davidson, Joshua Cooper and his wife Crystal, and Shayna Means; great-grandchildren, Mykale and Rosa Rodriquez; and a great grandchild on the way. Geraldine was also preceded in death by her son, Richard E. Brandenburg on October 19, 2000; brother, Rex Hazelwood; and a sister, Lori Hazelwood. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Friday, December 3, 2004, at Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton, with Rev. Thomas Brunner officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Grace M. Brandenburg, 83, of 2004 Fernwood St., died at Middletown Hospital Tuesday evening at 11:45. She has been a patient in the hospital for the past two weeks and had been ill since November.
    Born in Beattyville, Ky., Mrs. Brandenburg had lived in the area since 1917.
    Survivors include her husband, Stanley; three sons, Nelson and Benton Lawson of Middletown and Harlan of Fort Myers, Fla,; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Childers and Mrs. Beulah Brate of Middletown; a half-brother, Melvin Campbell of Illinois; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
    Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Steffy officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9p.m. Thursday.

Harlan Brandenburg
    Harlan Brandenburg, 76, of 1008, Second Avenue., was pronounced dead on arrival at Middletown Hospital at 2:11 a.m. today following an apparent heart attack at home.
    Firemen who were called to the residence found Mr. Brandenburg lying on the floor near his bed.
    Mr. Brandenburg retired in 1952 as a watchman for the Polock Paper Co. He was a native of Beattyville, Ky., and had been a resident of Middletown 50 years.
    Surviving are his wife, Lona; two daughters, Mrs. Hal Stevens and Ms. Eugene Stine of Middletown; a son Jim of  Mineral Wells, Tex.: three brothers, Lee of Beattyville, and Clay and Bass of Middletown; three sisters, Mrs. Vertie Ames and Mrs. Laura Barrett of Winchester, Ky., and Mrs. Nannie Napier of Beattyville; and three grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Preston Theall officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Joseph R. Baker  & Sons Funeral Home Sunday  from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church after Monday noon.

  Howard age BRANDENBURG, 89, of Middletown, passed away January 26, in Naples, FL where he spent every winter. He was born in Beattyville, KY on Jan 16, 1922 to Charles and Daisy (McIntosh) Brandenburg. Howard worked at Armco Steel for 41 years before retiring in 1989. He enjoyed watching baseball, reading and spending time on the beach. Mr. Brandenburg is survived by his wife of 64 yrs, Hazel (Howarth), who he met while serving in the Army Air Corp during WW II in England; sons, Howard (Sheryl) Brandenburg, Todd (Stormi) Brandenburg and daughter, Gail Ortman Moore; brother, Sid (Lois) Brandenburg; five grandchildren, Lori Elliott, Brian Elliott, Steve Brandenburg, Craig Brandenburg and Michelle Ortman; 2 great grandchildren, Gracen and Emma. Funeral services were held at the convenience of family in Naples, FL.

Hubert L. Brandenburg 
    Hubert L. "Rusty" Brandenburg, 71, of Hamilton, died Monday, Aug.29, at his resident.
    He was born in Beattyville, Ky., the son of Eugene and Lulu (Edwards) Brandenburg. He graduated from Abilene Christian College in Texas with a B.A. in Education in 1956 and received his master's degree from Miami University in 1961.
    He was a sargent in the U.S. Marine Corp, 1st Division, "The Old Breed", from 1941-1945. He fought in five blitzes including Guadalcanal, New Guinea and Peleliu. He received the Purple Heart, Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct, Asiatic Pacific Campaign, WWII Victory medals and the National Defense Service Commendations.
    He married Iva Ilieff on May 18, 1946, in Hamilton. He was employed as a secondary school teacher and Counselor in the Fairfield City Schools for 31 years and was particularly proud of his work with the OWE program. He retired in 1981. He was a member of the Laurel Avenue Church of Christ, VFW-Fairfield and Butler County Retired Teachers Association.
    He is survived by his wife, Iva; a daughter and her husband, Rhonda and Omer Jacobs Jr. of Hamilton; his stepmother, Martha Brandenburg of Middletown; five sisters, Dorothy Roth of Fairfield, Eleanor Reed of Trenton, Mildred Jones of Hamilton, Lucille Perkins of Middletown, and Irene Conrad of Marion, Ind.; two grandchildren, Nicole and Matthew Jacobs; and many friends and other family members.
    He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, James Brandenburg in 1987.
    Funeral Services were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N.W. Washington Blvd., Hamilton, Ohio, with the Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Burial was at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born in Hamilton, on February 25, 1926, the daughter of Samuel and Florence (Smith) Ilieff. She married Hubert L. "Rusty" Brandenburg on May 18, 1946 in Hamilton and he preceded her in death on August 29, 1994. She was a member of the Laurel Avenue Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Jacobs and husband, Omer, Jr. of Hamilton; two sisters, Carol Herald of Xenia, Ohio and Ollie Thumberger of Fairfield and two grandchildren, Nikki Walker and husband, Garrett of Cincinnati and Matthew Jacobs of Oxford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister Florence Ruth Bowling. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. He was born in Hamilton on March 13, 1936 the son of Lee and Elvira (Miller) Brandenburg. Jack was employed as a billing clerk at Champion Paper for 35 years, retiring in 1991. On August 20, 1956 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana he married Phyllis Hensley. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Brandenburg of Palm Bay, Florida; two children, Jack L. Brandenburg II of Cincinnati and Kathy Graham and her husband Steven of Hamilton; one sister, Phyllis Maggard of Hamilton; and three grandchildren, Julie, Steven, and Amanda Graham. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor James Mousie of Riverview Baptist Church, Springboro, Ohio officiating. He was born in Beattyville, Ky the son of Omer and Hazel Brandenburg and Ruth (Moore) Brandenburg. Eddie was in the trucking business for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bud. Eddie is survived by his wife of 41 years, Vickie, a daughter, Nichole Brandenburg, 3 sons, Jack, David (Ashlie) and Jamie Brandenburg, 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Ashlee, Madison, Cody and Lennon. He also leaves a brother, Bill Brandenburg and 2 sisters, Francis Hembree and Linda Mullins. Services were at the convenience of the family.

James F. BRANDENBURG, age 83, of Hamilton, died at home August 18, 2004 from cancer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice; his parents; two sons, Greg and Mike; a grandson, Billy Minor; a sister, Cleta Piercy; a brother Jack Brandenburg and a son-in-law, Bradley Cason. He was a veteran of WWII , serving in the European Theater, retired from Kroger and he was a Buckeye Baptist Builder. He was a member of Richmond Road Baptist Church and the church choir. He loved fishing and spending time with his family and his special grandson, Sebastian Michael Mooney. He leaves his daughter, Lisa Mooney, whom he loved dearly and who cared for him for many years; daughters, Beverly Cason of Knotts Island, North Carolina, Patricia Brickner of Hamilton and Sharon Turner of Fairfield; grandchildren, Amber Mooney and fiancée, Jamie Marcum, Mike (Heather) Mooney all of Hamilton, Jeffry Abrams of North Carolina, Melina (Steve) Buttery, Pam (Bobby) Isaacs, Brian (Holly) Turner and Eric Turner; great grandchildren, Brady and Chase Turner, Josh McWhorter, Amy Hagar, Justin Buttery and Sebastian Michael Mooney and great, great grandchildren, Chance Hagar and Chase Morgan. James Robert BRANDENBURG, age 65 of Hamilton passed away at Jewish Hospital on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 5:30 PM. He was born in Irvine, Kentucky on August 30, 1944 the son of Willis and Grace (Johnson) Brandenburg. James was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed as a production mechanic for General Electric Evendale for 30 years, retiring in 2002. On January 10, 1992 in Hamilton he married Carolyn (Dawson) Rhoden. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Brandenburg of Hamilton; two daughters, Sudie Brandenburg of San Antonio, Texas and Patricia (Corey) Monroe of Hamilton; five stepchildren, Debbie, Stephanie, Steven, Jay, and Sherry Rhoden, all of Cincinnati; a sister, Sue (Troy) Gross of Hamilton; five grandchildren, P.J., Brittney, James, Maggie and Carolyn; 15 step-grandchildren; a nephew, Johnie Gross of Hamilton; and three nieces, Pamela, Rena, and Grace Gross; and his cats Sassy and Nubbin. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Johnnie Brandenburg; a stepdaughter, Sandy Rhoden; and his beloved cat, C.J.     He was born in Middletown on June 12, 1964, a son of William and Shirley (Duffey) Brandenburg. He was employed as the kitchen manager at Grindstone Charlie's Restaurant.
    He is survived by two sisters, Linda Roberts and Carol Anderson, both of Middletown; a brother, Mark Brandenburg of Columbia, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and many friends.
    His parents preceded him in death.
    Arrangements: Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. today April 18, at Beiitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home in Middletown. Graveside services will follow at 10:15 a.m. at Woodside Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Roger Green.

Jane retired from Morrow Dry Cleaners after 40+ years of service. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gary, three brothers, George, Bill & Adam Motz, and two sisters, Barbara Davis & Helen Richardson, survivors include one son, Gary R. Brandenburg Jr. (Sharon) of Lebanon, two daughters, Vicki Brandenburg of Blanchester and Linda Socia of Williamsburg, six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. A lifelong Middletown resident, he was born on December 30, 1951 to the late Joe and Flossie Brandenburg. Keith was employed by The Fraternal Order of the Orioles for 18 years. He also worked at the Meadowlawn for the past year on weekends. He is survived by his girlfriend, Debby Wood; ex-wife, Deborah Brandenburg; their son, Joseph M. Brandenburg; daughter-in-law, Jessica A. Whitaker; his grandson, Corbin J. Brandenburg all of Middletown; and his sister, Laquita Clifford in Newnan, Georgia. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Kenneth at birth, and a sister, Betty Helsinger. Keith was a member of Orioles 193, Eagles 528, V.F.W. 3809 and a life member of D.A.V. 131. He was a Marine Corps veteran from 1972 to 1974. Keith was a past member of Middletown Jaycees, the Independence Factory, the American Legion Post 218, the National Guard, and the Charter Club. As an avid Ohio State football fan, he has donated his body to the Ohio State Department of Anatomy and Medical Education. In memorial he requests that on a yearly basis, before we play that team up north, friends donate a pint of blood to the Shriners Burn and Childrens Hospital. "GO BUCKS" There will be a going away party for his family and friends at the American Legion Hall located at 116 S. Main Street, Middletown. It will be on Tuesday, September 20, from 5-11:00 PM. Juanita B. BRANDENBURG, age 69, of W. College Corner, IN passed away Monday evening, May 16, 2005 at McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital. She was born March 22, 1936 in College Corner, OH, the daughter of William and Hazel (Tharp) Brandenburg. She retired from Miami University after 30 years as a food service worker. She loved to read, embroidery and collect recipes. She was a good Christian person and a member of the Oxford Baptist Church and was a kind, sweet and gentle person who was liked by all who met her. She also was a wonderful sister who loved her family deeply. She is survived by twin brothers, Hubert and Herbert Brandenburg, both of Columbus, IN; sisters, Opal Martin of Manchester, KY, Peggy Sawyer of Hamilton, OH and Joyce Brandenburg of W. College Corner, IN. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 pm (Ohio Time), Thursday evening, May 19, 2005 at the Oxford Baptist Church, 5299 College Corner Pike, Oxford. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am (Ohio Time) on Friday at the church. Burial will be at the Dunlapsville Cemetery, Brookville, IN. The Smith & Ogle Funeral Home, Oxford is serving the family.     A native of Jackson, Ky., she was preceded in death by her husband Harlan, in 1966.
    She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Aldridge of Middletown, and Mrs. Midge Stevens of Danville, Ky.; a step-son, James E. Brandenburg of Mineral Wells, Texas; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
    She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Middletown and the Middletown Senior Citizens.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Joseph R. Baker Funeral Home, the Rev Virgil Applegate officiating.

    Mrs. Lula Mae Brandenburg, 75, of 109 Lyburn Road, died at Middletown Hospital Sunday at 8:50 p.m. after being a patient there since Jan. 11. She had had an extended illness.
    Mrs. Brandenburg, a native of Breathitt County, Ky., lived here 55 years and was a member of the Bonita Drive Church of Christ.
    She is survived by her husband, Eugene; two sons, Hubert of Hamilton and James of Freemont, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Irene Conrad of Marion, Ind., Mrs. Mildred Jones of Hamilton, Mrs. Eleanor Reed of Trenton, Mrs. Dorothy Roth of Fairfield and Mrs. Lucille Perkins of Middletown; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Edna Perdue of Beattyville, Ky.

Mable BRANDENBURG, age 91, of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2007, at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital. Born in Willow, Kentucky, on November 3, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Callie Ann (Newman) Spicer. In Beattyville, Kentucky, on October 16, 1937, Mable married her husband of over 67 years, Edward R. Brandenburg, and he preceded her in death on July 13, 2005. Their marriage was a testimony of love and devotion to all who knew them. She loved her family dearly. Mable is survived by her loving sons, Douglas Edward Brandenburg and wife Sue of Chesterfield, Virginia, and James Stephen Brandenburg and wife Margy of Oxford, Ohio; two grandchildren, Stacy Paulette and husband Terry of Richmond, Virginia and Todd Brandenburg and wife Heather of Richmond, Virginia; two great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Matthew Paulette; brother, Hubert Spicer and wife Jean of Southbend, Indiana; sister, Victoria Burgess of Richmond, Indiana; nieces and nephews. Mable was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1943.She worked for the First National Bank in Cincinnati and moved to Oxford, Ohio in 1960. "Marge" worked at Miami University in accounting from late 1968 until her retirement in 1993. She belonged to the Oxford Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She is survived by her two daughters, Gloria J. (Jay) Bender, Cincinnati, OH, and Janet N. (Daniel) McClain, Mainville, OH; her sister Alice Jane (John) Stoops, Springboro, OH; two grandchildren Amber M. Tompkins, Dunwoody, GA and Justin G. Jones, Cincinnati, OH; two great grandsons, Enoch and Esias Tompkins, Dunwoody, GA; one nephew and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Frances Brandenburg and Edna Marshall. A Memorial Service was held at the Smith & Ogle Funeral Home, 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford OH on Saturday January 15th, 2011. He is survived by a nephew, Charles of West Union, Ohio.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. today at the Stine Funeral Home, 801 Monroe Road, the Rev. J.B. Walters, officiating. Burial was at Middletown Cemetery.

Mary was born December 13, 1920 in Weatherford, Texas, the daughter of William J. and Mary Ballow. Mrs. Brandenburg lived and taught school for many years in Oxford, Ohio returning to Texas to live in 1995. She is survived by a sister, Dixie Lou Pruitt of Bryan, Texas, three nephews; William M. "Bill" Pruitt, and wife Emily of Buda, Texas, Buzz Pruitt and wife Katy of College Station, Jack F. "Jay" Dawson, Jr. and wife Ann of Baytown, Texas. Five nieces; Debbie Jones of Friendswood, Texas, Julie Miller and husband Wayde of Stephenville, Texas, Vickie Ballow Slagle and husband Tim of Aledo, Texas, Jacque Ballow Patterson of Aledo, Texas, and Tammie Ballow of Weatherford, and numerous great nieces and nephews.     Mrs. Mary E. Clark Brandenburg, 86, of 1005 Forrer St., Amanda, died at 7:13 p.m. Tuesday at Middletown Regional Hospital after a five-day illness.
    The Middletown native was a lifelong resident of the Amanda area and a graduate of Middletown High School. She was employed as a sectary at Armco Steel., then raised a family and later worked at Brandenburg Furs.. Mrs. Brandenburg was a member of Amanda Methodist Women and a lifelong member of Amanda Methodist Church.
    She is survived by for sons, David R. Clark Jr. of Lexington, Ky., Jerry Dean Clark of Hamilton, John C. Clark of Amanda and Larry A. Clark of Trenton;  13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister Freda Bryant of Middletown.
    She was preceded in death by her first husband, David R. Clark Sr. in 1963; and her second, Brice Brandenburg in 1975; and a sister Martha Calscay.
    Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Joseph R. Baker Funeral Home, the Rev. Tom Kemple officiating. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.
    Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Olive Brandenburg, 86, of Carlisle Manor Nursing Home, died there Sunday evening, Feb. 29, 1998.
    She was born in Middletown on Oct. 11, 1911, the daughter of George and Laura Johnson Baisden. She  was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, Middletown Area Senior Citizens and AARP.
    Mrs. Brandenburg is survived by three son, Richard and Darrell Brandenburg, both of Middletown, and Gerald Brandenburg of Ottawa, Canada; a daughter Charlene Caudill of Middletown; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a brother, Douglas Johnson of Florida; and two sisters, Eleanor Bailey and Marietta Drury, both of Franklin.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Brandenburg, in 1987; a daughter, Anita Frongia; a brother, James Johnson; and a sister, Sophie Johnson.
     Arrangements; Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roger Green officiating. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Poasttown.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Pastor James Mousie of Riverview Baptist Church, Franklin, Ohio officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Reva Brandenburg
    Mrs. Reva Ann Brandenburg, 79, of 2909 Armco Drive, died Friday at 8:40 p.m. at Garden Manor Extended Care Center where she had resided the past seven years.
    A native of Morgan County, Ky., Mrs. Brandenburg lived in the community for 42 years.
    Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Betty White of Middletown, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
    Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Joseph R. Baker Funeral Home, the Rev. Henry Howard officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m.

Richard BRANDENBURG, age 75, of Trenton, died on Friday, July 23, 2004 at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Middletown on August 26, 1928 to Charles & Olive (Baisden) Brandenburg. Mr. Brandenburg was an architect and was a partner at Brandenburg & Switzer Architects for 25 years, having designed several buildings at Miami University, in the Middletown area he designed, banks, savings and loans, Verity School, Middletown Regional Hospital and early work at Cedar Point. He had worked for the City of Middletown doing plan review for the building department, he also taught continuing education classes for the building trades, and had a home inspection service. He was an avid bowler and basketball fan, and was a past member of the Optimist Club and had been very active with the Soap Box Derby at Jacot Park. Richard is survived by his wife Cecilia L. Brandenburg, Trenton, two sons; David Brandenburg, Granville, Oh and Robert A. Brandenburg, Middletown; three daughters; Claudia Brandenburg (Dean) Kotchka, Cincinnati, Susan B. (Bill) Tinsley, Middletown, and Tracy A. (Burak Kacaz) Brandenburg, Miami, Fl.; two brothers, Gerald (Marty) Brandenburg, Italy and Darrell (Mary Sue) Brandenburg, Middletown, one sister Charlene Brandenburg ( Elmer) Profitt, Campton, Ky.; six grandchildren Stephen Cloud, Katie Kotchka, Joanne Cloud, Michelle Brandenburg, Brian Brandenburg, and Kenny Jinkens. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Arnita Frongia, and his best friend Sasha. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at 10:00 am at Holy Name Catholic Church, Trenton, Father George Klein, celebrant. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (At Bonita Dr.). Roger Wayne BRANDENBURG, age 67, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday morning at his residence. He was born in Middletown, August 25, 1943, the son of Douglas and Lorrain Brandenburg, and served 2 years in the Army. He was a Plate Maker for the American Packaging Company, retiring after 30 years of service. He enjoyed golfing with a close group of friends, who arranged a final outing during his illness so he could enjoy a final special day with them. Mr. Brandenburg had worked at Shaker Run Golf Club during his retirement years. He doted on his two canine family members, Skippy and Katie. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Marcia Combs Brandenburg; a son, Geoffrey Isaac Brandenburg; a sister, Marsha Doodigan of Union WA; a brother, Charles Brandenburg of Booneville KY; and his mother-in-law, Betty Meister of Middletown. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandparents, Clay and Ada Brandenburg. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Hospice of Middletown, and to Dr. Mary Ellen Gaeke. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 25, at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, officiated by Mr. Tim Hale. Friends may call from 12 noon until service time on Monday. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery, with military rites performed by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.

He was born June 1, 1952 in Lancaster, California. He attended the church services at Kensington Place. He was preceded in death by his sister Cheryl Brandenburg, maternal grandparents Carbie and Mildred Hensley; and paternal grandparents Guy and Ethel Brandenburg. She was born in Hamilton, OH on July 28, 1952, the daughter of Donald and Wanda (Zimmer) Arent and was a 1970 Graduate of Badin High School. On Jan. 21, 1983, in Hamilton, OH, she married Charles E. Brandenburg III. She was a member of St. Peter Church. Mrs. Brandenburg had worked in food service at Hamilton City Schools. Survivors include her husband, Chuck; 2 children, Donald and Melissa Brandenburg, both of Hamilton; her parents, Don and Wanda Arent; 3 sisters, Barbara Baldwin, Laguna Beach, CA, Susan Garratt, Pinewood Springs, Colorado, and Kathy Arent, Sharonville, OH; step mother-in-law, Dottie Brandenburg. Willis Bud BRANDENBURG, age 80 died at his home in Waynesville on Mon. May 31, 2010. He was an Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He worked for Charles Hamilton Construction for 50 years as an operator. He is survived by his son Gary Brandenburg (Teresa), daughter Cari Blake , brothers Ed (Vicki) and Bill (Toni) Brandenburg, sisters Francis (Ward) Hembree and Linda (Butch) Mullins, 3 step sons Tim and Billy Hoffer and Jim Schumaker, and special friend Fay Sears. Bud was preceded in death by his wife Jean (Dakin), mother Ruth (Moore) and father Omer Brandenburg, step mother Hazel (Amburgy), and his brother Jackie Paul Brandenburg. Visitation 5-7 PM Wed. Funeral Set Saturday For Victims Of Fumes

    A double funeral service and burial for Mr. and Mrs. William H. Brandenburg, victims of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning, will be held Saturday.
Services for the couple will be held at 10 a.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, with the Rev. Christopher Neely officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery.
Friends may call at the McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home tomorrow from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., and at the church Saturday after 9 a.m.
    The bodies of Mr. Brandenburg and his wife wife, Janice, were found yesterday in their anchored houseboat at Dale Hollow Lake, Ky. They had gone there on a fishing trip.
Clinton County, Ky., officials said the couple died of fumes from a bottle gas operated burner in the boat's refrigerator.
Mr. and Mrs. Brandenburg, both 23, made their home at 6150 Elk Creek Road. They are survived by an 18 month-old son, Paul W., who was left here with relatives.
Mr. Brandenburg and his wife were members of the Volkswagen Club of Dayton. He had been employed by Armco Steel Corp. since 1959, where he was an expediter in the scheduling department.
Surviving him are his parents, Mrs. Virginia Sickles of Middletown and William Brandenburg, of Richmond, Ind.; and a step-sister, Margaret Ann.
Mrs. Brandenburg was a member of the Unity Club at the YMCA and has been employed by the Aeronca Manufacturing Corp.
    She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Walter, with whom the couple lived; a brother, Dwight Walter and a sister, Evelyn Walter, both at home; and her maternal grandparents, MR. and Mrs. Earl Brown of Dickey Road.
Both the victims were members of the 1958 graduating class at Middletown High School.

Woodrow Brandenburg
    Woodrow Brandenburg, 82, of 11131 Sunshine Grove Road, Brooksviile, Fla., died Friday at the Heartland of Brooksville Nursing Home in Brooksville, Fla.
    He was a native of Beattyville, Ky., and a former resident of Blue Ball for 42 years.
    He was a crane operator for Armco Steel in Middletown until his retirement.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Brandenburg, in 1961; his mother, Daisy McIntosh Brandenburg, in 1976; two brothers, Gene in 1985 and Charles in 1987; and two sisters, Carrie Edwards in 1975 and Pearl Martin, in 1986.
    Surviving are his wife Mildred "Millie" Allen Brandenburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Patsy Brandenburg of Brooksville, Fla.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Juanita and Robert Davis of Middletown, and Barbara and Gary Ward of Springboro; two brothers, Sidney of Franklin and Howard of Monroe; two sisters, Oma Lee Knapp of Middletown and Virginia Allen of Palm Bay, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
    Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Unglesby-Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second St., Franklin, with the Rev.James Cockerham, officiating. Burial will be in the Springboro Cemetery.
    Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
