Melvin L. BUSH, 81, of Germantown, died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Otterbein-Lebanon Retirement Community. He was born in Wolfe County, Kentucky on November 2, 1930 to parents Colonel Calvin and Ida (Dunn) Bush. Melvin worked in receiving for Diamond National for 42 years. He served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed farming and was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Bush is survived by his wife, Clara E. (Smith) Bush; sons, Steve Bush & Phillip Bush; daughters, Virginia (Joseph) McKenzie & Lisa (Randy) Moore; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son, David Michael Bush; parents; 1 brother; and 4 sisters. Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 12, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Jimmy Jewell officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 - 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
