Stephen Steve CABLE SR., age 81, of
Middletown, Ohio, went to be with his Savior on Thursday,
June 24, 2010 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. He
was born April 11, 1929 in Beattyville,
Kentucky and lived in Middletown since 1946. He was the
owner/operator of Cable Auto Sales since 1961. He was the
Pastor at the Home Avenue First Church of God in Trenton for
25 years. He became an ordained minister in 1963.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph and
Anna (Kincaid) Cable; one brother,
Bud Cable; and two sisters, Geneva Gentry and Betty Blanton.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Virginia L.
Cable; one son, Steve Cable, Jr. and wife Robin of
Chautauqua, Ohio; one daughter, Connie
Lawrence of Eaton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Brian Hagan and
wife Susan, Aaron Hagan, David Jones and wife Traci, and
Kerri Helton; six great grandchildren, Jacob and Annie
Hagan, Cory Helton, Hallie and Sydnie Finley, and Justin
Jones; two brothers, Joe Cable and wife
Eileen and Jim Cable and wife Linda; many
nieces and nephews; and his church family. Visitation will
be Friday, June 25, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the
Home Avenue First Church of God, 426 East Home Avenue,
Trenton, Ohio. Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 26,
2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Associate Pastor Todd
Wallen officiating. Private interment for the family only
will be at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Stephen Cable
Memorial Fund in care of any 5/3 Bank, or to the
American Cancer Society.
