Hamilton, Ohio Vella CODA, age 84 of Hamilton went home to Glory on Sunday, February 12, 2006 at 5:55 PM. She was born in Jackson, Kentucky on July 13, 1921. On October 31, 1939 in Combs, Kentucky she married Roy Coda, who preceded her in death in 1984. She is survived by son, John Coda Sr. of Hamilton; daughter, Sandra Glancy and her husband Bill of Hamilton; brother, Omar Buck Gabbard of Hazard, Kentucky; sister, Edna Luttrell of Combs, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Roy (Amy) Glancy, Dan (Anita) Glancy, Cristy Glancy, John Coda Jr., all of Hamilton, and Debbie Avery of California; six great-grandchildren, Dannielle, Ryan, Haley, Samantha, Brooklynn, and Bryant Glancy; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Willie Vires; mother-in- law and father-in-law, Maude and John Coda; and brother, Woodrow Gabbard. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her so much. We will cherish her memory forever. Funeral Service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Neil Gabbard of Christ Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.. |
