Clay J. COLWELL, age 79
of South Lebanon passed peacefully Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Lebanon Country Manor. Born November 16, 1929 in Clay County, Kentucky, he was the son of Floyd and Mae (Gilbert) Colwell and was a retired factory foreman with Cruette Plating. Clay also worked at General Motors but many will remember his from the Caesar's Creek Flea Market where he had a booth for many years. Clay was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Clay enjoyed tinkering with old lawnmowers, making bird houses, vegetable and flower gardening and most of all, spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers - Lonzo and Chester Colwell; Clay leaves behind his loving wife - Loraine (Robertson) Colwell of South Lebanon; sons - Timothy D. (Jennifer) Colwell of Morrow and Ernie Colwell of South Lebanon; daughter - Carol (Wayne) Hampton of South Lebanon; brother - Willie (Sara) Colwell of Oneida, Ky.; sisters - Opal Sandlin of Oneida, Ky. and Ola Schelhorn of South Lebanon; grandchildren - Sarah, Adam and Kelsie Colwell, Lauren Hatfield, Candace (Kyle) Binkley and Isaiah Hampton; great-grandchildren - McKenzie and Aubree Binkley and many other family members, friends and neighbors. Friends may call on the family Thursday, June 11, 2009 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday, June 12, 2009 at 11:00am with Pastor David Frasure and Brothers Kenneth Leach and Mike Howell officiating. Henry COLWELL
, age 71, of Cincinnati, passed away on September 1, 2009 in Hamilton. He was born in Perry County, Kentucky on March 27, 1938, the son of the late Elbert and Opha (nee Stacy) Colwell. He was educated in the Perry County, Kentucky school system. Henry was employed for over 45 years as an auto worker at the Ford Motor Plant in Sharonville, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the U.A.W Local 863, was a Kentucky Colonel and enjoyed hunting, gardening, baseball as well as the outdoors. Henry is survived by his children, Linda Scott of Hamilton and Gregory Keith Colwell of Trenton; grandson, Samuel Henry Scott of Hamilton; dear friend, Joyce Sears of Forest Park; son in law, John Scott of Trenton; brother, James E. (Alene) Colwell of London, Kentucky; sisters, Betty Wooten and Rose (Astor) Eversole both of Busy, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three infant brothers and brother, Elbert Colwell. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Ave. at South "D" St., Hamilton at 11:00am with Eloy Encinias officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends and family will be received from 9:30am-11:00 am at the funeral home on Saturday.
