	September 16, 2009  Middletown Journal, Middletown, Ohio Devonia Esther COOMER, (nee: Dunn) 85, of Lebanon, OH died Monday, September 14, 2009. She was born October 12, 1923 in Simpson, KY to Jesse and Miranda (nee: Gibbs) Dunn. Devonia was originally a cosmetologist, retiring in 1974 to join her husband in the furniture business and later became the owner, operator and CEO of Coomer Furniture. She was appointed a Kentucky Colonel and had many friends from Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles, Coomer, Jr. in 1999, son, Jesse Tyler Coomer, daughter, Charlene Coomer, brothers, Raleigh Dunn and James Dunn and sisters, Emma Caudill, Helen Anderson, Dorothy Bauer and Georgia Creech, survivors include sons, John (Janet) Coomer of Maineville, OH and Jerry (Lynette) Coomer of Middletown, OH, daughter, Miranda Sue (Ted) Jackson, sister, Alvenetta Turner of Decatur, IL, 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and her 3 best friends, Della Lane, Jearlene Gross and Ruth Chambers. Visitation will be held Friday, September 18, 2009 from 6-9:00 PM with services Saturday, September 19 at 10:00 AM all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon, OH. Rev. Clayton Montgomery will officiate and burial will follow in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions are requested to Hospice of Southwest Ohio, 7625 Camargo Rd., #200, Cincinnati, OH 45243.
