Lillian O. DOWEN, age 90, a resident of the Mount Pleasant
Retirement Village, passed away peacefully Monday morning. She was
born in West Liberty Kentucky, September 2, 1915, the daughter of
John and Bessie (West) Potter. She worked in Cost Accounting for
several years for General Motors in Detroit, Michigan and also had
worked for Ford. She was quite active with the Redford Suburban
League, where she worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs. Lillian was
preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dowen; and by 2 brothers,
Russell and Gilbert Potter. She is survived by a nephew, Bill Potter
of Vancouver, Washington; and by her first cousin and caregiver,
Peggy Cunningham of Middletown. Funeral services will be held
Thursday, April 27, at 2:00 PM at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler
Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Rick Woodward. Friends may call
from 12 noon until service time Thursday. Burial will be in Woodhill
Cemetery in Franklin.
