Mrs. Louise Lee ELAM, age 83 of Ormond Beach FL lost her long battle with cancer and passed away Saturday, September 05, 2009. She was born to Joseph W. Sorrell and Vina (Hayes) Sorrell on 11-29-25 in Middletown, OH where she lived for 55 years before moving to Florida. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Arnol, parents, sister and brother-in- law Pauline and Howard Kramer, brother Rodney Sorrel, a grandson Jeffrey Nichols and twin granddaughters who died at birth. She is survived by her daughter Marlene (Tom) Strohm of Panama City. FL, her sister Mildred (Fred) White who took care of her and whom she loved very dearly. She is also survived by two granddaughters Helen Svarda and Beth Nichols, a sister-in-law Margaret Sorrell whom she loved and respected, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her. Mrs. Elam worked for Beck Talbert Pontiac for 20 years before moving to Florida where she did accounting for several physicians. She retired in 1998 to care for her husband Arnol who passed away in 2000. Services will be held at the Memorial Chapel in Woodside Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Her great nephew, the Rev. Kyle Worley, will officiate & Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery. There will also be a memorial service at The Spirit and Truth Ministries, 21 Winding Woods Trail Ormond Beach, FL 32174 conducted by the Rev. & Kurt Corley In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the above church.
