Freda H.GROSS,  age 53, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born in Middletown, June 5, 1956, the daughter of Jerry Jackson and Kathern Combs. She worked as a Restorer in the Physical Therapy unit at Kensington Place Nursing Home for 21 years. Freda loved everybody, and will be sorely missed. Survivors include her husband, William Gross; a daughter, Karla Gross, and a son, Aaron Gross; her mom and dad, Kathern and Robert Schwab; a granddaughter, Cortney Gross; 3 sisters, Dola (Coy) Joseph, Betty Ratliff, and Carolyn Toler; and by 5 nephews and 3 nieces. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 30, at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Randy Joseph and Pastor Ed Peyton. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 pm, and Tuesday one hour prior to the services, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

    Mildred E. GROSS, age 87 of Hamilton passed away Wednesday December 29, 2010 at McCullough-Hyde Hospital. She was born February 5, 1923 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky the daughter of the late James Gillus Parsons and Liza (nee Dees) Parsons. Mrs. Gross was a Baptist and attended church faithfully. She was an original "Rosie The Riveter", working in World War II defense plants and was also an accomplished seamstress who made parachutes for the war effort.
    Mrs. Gross is survived by her children, Edna Jean House, Linda Isaacs, Wayne Gross, Judy Thompson, and Deborah (Charles) Schlechtweg; 12 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren.
    She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Gross and Charles Sweet, and two sisters and three brothers.
    Visitation at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield on Friday December 31, 2010 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. www.websterfuneralhomes.com

GROSS, of Hamilton passed away Wednesday March 21, 2012 in her home. She was born May 10 in Breathitt County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Russell and Arlene (nee Combs) Asher. On December 23, 1948 she married Homer Gross. Mrs. Gross is survived by her husband Homer Gross; two daughters, Linda (Darrell) Reece and Brenda (Michael) Koedel; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters Ruth Clarke, Marie Wells, and Wanda Back. Visitation 5-8 PM Sunday at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday March 26, 2012 at the funeral home.
