Clara HACKER, (nee Marcum) of Oxford, Ohio,
beloved mother and grandmother passed away at the Hospice of Hamilton
on March 7, 2010 at the age of 91 after a long and fulfilling life.
She was born in Clay County, Kentucky
to Squire and Sally Marcum July 10, 1918, one of 12 children.
Clara was united in marriage in 1936 to Fred Hacker. Clara and Fred
had four children; Marvin, Betty Jean, Billy and Johnny. She moved
with her family to the Oxford, Ohio area in 1966. Family and home life
were the most cherished parts of Clara's life. She found great
pleasure in crocheting, cooking and canning for her family and
friends. Clara will be remembered for the many afghans, scarves, baby
booties, dishcloths and jars of jelly made by her loving hands. Clara
also had a successful career in housekeeping, retiring from Miami
University after more than 25 years of service. Clara is survived by a
sister, Bernice "Boone" Walden, two brothers; Brian Marcum and his
wife Ella and Squire Marcum Jr. and his wife Pat, two sons; Billy
Hacker and his wife Marjorie and Johnny Hacker, a daughter-in-law;
Virginia hacker, five grandchildren; Rosanne and her husband Randy
Gulley, Rhonda and her husband Todd Tipton, Dale and his wife Darlene
Hacker, Dawn and her husband Tracy Webber, Richard Hacker and a
grandson-in-law Jerry Heyob, nine great-grandchildren; Mallory Gulley,
Samantha and Dani Tipton, Trevor Hacker, Emily, Anne and Ellen Heyob,
and Rebecca and Lindsay Webber and several nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her parents; her husband Fred Hacker; 8 siblings,
Lewis Marcum, Leslie Marcum, Mary Sizemore, Johnny Marcum, Neil
Marcum, Mattie Hollen, Albert Marcum and Arlie Marcum; a son Marvin
Hacker; an infant daughter Betty Jean Hacker, and a granddaughter
Crystal (Hacker) Heyob. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M.
at Camden First Baptist Church with Pastor Carl Allen officiating.
Burial will be immediately following at Oxford Cemetery. Family and
friends may visit on Wednesday from 5-7 P.M. at Smith and Ogle Funeral
Home 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford Ohio 45056. |

Frank J. HACKER, age 80 of Hamilton passed away Saturday
December 12, 2009 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was
born March 5, 1929 in Harlan County,
Kentucky the son of the late John and Julie (nee Sims) Hacker.
Mr. Hacker was a truck driver for over 40 years, and he loved
bluegrass music and traveling. He is survived by his wife Imogene
Hacker; two daughters Sheila (Wade) Holland and Michael Ann (Pam)
Daulton; four sons Eddie Hacker, Johnny (Barb) Hacker, Jerry (Novana)
Hacker, and Marvin (Brenda) Hacker; 14 grandchildren; 6 great
grandchildren; two sisters Lois (Wilbur) Sasser and Alv (Donnie)
Dozier. Mr. Hacker was also preceded in death by his son Euclid
Hacker, his daughter Julia Wilson, and his grandson Richard Hacker.
Visitation at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4,
Fairfield, Wednesday December 16, 2009 from 10:00 AM until the time of
the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial
Park.

Mary Gail HACKER,
age 59, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January
16, 2010 at her residence. She was
born on February 16, 1950 in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of Eliza
Combs and the late James Combs, the sister of the late Bud
Combs. Gail was a graduate of Middletown High School and worked for
the Middletown City Schools for many years. She married her husband of
43 years, Charles E. Hacker on August 12, 1967. They have four
children, Liz (Steve) Lawson of Middletown, Charlene (John Calhoun)
Hacker of Middletown, Lesley (Tony) Walizer of Huntington, West
Virginia, and Charlie Hacker of Middletown; and eight grandchildren,
Miranda, Blakely, Casey, Harper, JC, Maddie, Abbie and Katie.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00
p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at
the funeral home with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Interment will be at
North Monroe Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice
Care of Middletown, 1131 Manchester Ave., Middletown, Ohio 45042.
