Cecil Herbert HOBBS, age 76, of Middletown, died Monday, January 4, 2010 at the Dayton VA Medical Center. He was born February 6, 1933 in Beattyville, Kentucky, the son of Clayton Hobbs and Verssie (Toler) Hobbs. Mr. Hobbs was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner of the Village Doughnut Shop. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Norma Jean (Barker) Hobbs; one daughter, Debbie (Rafael) Aponte of Middletown; two grandchildren, Tony (Jessie) Aponte and Tiffany Aponte both of Middletown; one great granddaughter, Elly Aponte; two sisters, Phyllis and Wanda; and two brothers, Shelby and Grover Hobbs. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Norma Winkleman; and one brother, Wayne Hobbs. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday at the Breitenbach- McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with the Reverend Brian Lauzau officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dayton VA Medical Center, c/o VA Hospice, 4100 W. Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428.

Karen HOBBS, age 44, of Middletown passed away Monday, April 2, 2012 at Atrium Medical Center. She was born May 26, 1967 in Middletown, OH to Jasper and Martha (Gayhart) Combs. Karen was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents. Karen is survived by her husband, Doug Hobbs of 27 years; children, Ashley Trent, Douglas S. Hobbs, Danielle (David) Saucedo all of Middletown; 9 grandchildren; brothers, Mark Combs, Brian Combs both of Middletown, David Combs of Portland, OR; sisters, Diane Eskew, Cindy (Randy) Mize, Lorna (Danny) Blackburn, Ann Combs, Lisa Combs all of Middletown. A visitation will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 12:00-2:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow on Thursday at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
