March 2, 2006 Journal News, Hamilton, Ohio

Elizabeth A. HORN, age 70, of Fairfield, Ohio passed away at Mercy Hospital-Fairfield on Wednesday, March 1, 2006. She was born in Beattyville, KY to Geneva (Slone) and Roscoe Pitman Sr. She was the beloved wife of Robert C. Horn Sr. (deceased). They would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on January 28th, 2006. She was part of the new generation of Mom's, working for the City of Fairfield for over 18 years, yet she never missed a beat in her role as loving wife and mother. In essence, her family was her life and she cherished every moment together with them. Her ever-present smile and loving nature will be sadly missed, and her absence leaves an irreplaceable void in our hearts. Elizabeth leaves behind her son, Robert (Tami) Horn; devoted sister, Mary Horn of Fairfield; sister-in-law Barb Pitman of Fairfield; brothers, Elmer (Francis) Pitman of Victorville CA, Charlie (Sue) Pitman of Clermont FL; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Her husband, parents and brothers John, Raymond and Roscoe Pitman Jr preceded her in death. Visitation will be Friday evening, March 3, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Rd, Fairfield, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 4, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Gilbert officiating. Interment will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.avancefuneralhome.com.
