Chester Lawson
Chester Lawson, 66, died yesterday at Middletown Hospital where
he had been a patient since May 6. He retired a year ago as a
stationary engineer at Aeronca Manufacturing Corp. Prior employment in
the Gardner Division of Diamond National. Born in Frenchburg, Ky he had
lived most of his life in Middletown. Surviving are his wife Martha;
daughters Edna Williams and Louise Moon of Middletown and Roxie Delude
of Cleveland; son Robert of Denver, Colo; sisters Mary Cox of Germantown
and Hazel Williams of Carliste; brother Clifford, Othie and Raymond of
Middletown and Lafe of Germantown. Services held at John R. Baker
Funeral Home.

Clarence Lawson
Clarence Bell Lawson, Sr., 83, died at Middletown Hospital. Born
in Kentucky but had lived in Middletown since 1910. Retired from
Armco in 1949 after 20 years of service. Survived by his wife Edna;
sons Leo of St. Petersburg, Fla, Frank of Dayton and Malcolm
Duncan-serving with the Army in Germany; sister Emma McClung of
Dayton. Service at the McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, the Rev. Herschel
Caudill officiating. Burial in Middletown Cemetery.

CLAUDE LAWSON
Claude L. Lawson, 16, was stabbed to death by Wendell Stamper as a
result of an argument over a young girl. Claude was the s/o George N.
Lawson and Mary Ann Downing. He was also survived by one brother and
3 sisters. He was born 11 Oct 1902 in Kentucky and died 27 Apr 1919.

Cud H. Lawson, 82, died yesterday at Middletown Hospital where
he had been a patient since April 18. He was a retired building
contractor and had lived in Middletown 60 years. Surviving are his
wife Peggy; daughter Mrs. Walter Moore of Blanchester, Mrs. Howard
Ingles of Clarksville, Mrs. Russel Lutekhus of Deerfield, Ill, Mrs. R.
C. Taylor of Trenton and Miss Janet Lawson at home; sons, Albert of
Corpus Christi, Tex., Leonard of Shelbyville, Ind., and William of
Milton, Ky.; two brothers, Otis and Tom Creekbaum of Middletown; sister,
Mrs. Jenny Michael and Mrs. Lena Richter of Middletown; 24
grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Services held at the Full
Gospel Tabernacle with the Rev. Leonard Collins officiating. Burial in
Woodside Cemetery. Joseph R. Baker home in charge.

Services for Ernest Lawson, 78, Trenton will be at 2 p.m.
Tuesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, the Rev Paul
Hensley officiating. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial park. He
died on Saturday at the Middletown Regional Hospital. Survivors include
daughter Patricia Rose with whom he had been living and daughter
Geraldine Thomson of Camden; one son James of Wichita Falls, Texas;
five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His wife Ollie died in
1983.

Mrs. Girtie Lawson, 79, of Hamilton, formerly of Middletown died
yesterday at Hughes Memorial Hospital after a two week illness.

of Mt. Orab and William of Milton, Ky.; daughters Mrs. Walter Moore of
Manchester, Mrs. James Lutekhus of Formosa and Mrs. Harold Ingles of

at the Pentecostal Highway Of Holiness Church in Hamilton with burial in

recently moving back to Middletown from Harriman, Tenn. A member of

Hazel Lawson
Services held at the Joseph R. Baker Funeral home for Hazel B.
Lawson, 93, who died on Thursday at the Barbara Park Convalescent
Center. Born in Wolfe County, Ky she had lived in this area most of her
life. She retired in 1960 from the Raymond Bag Co. and was a member of
Moose Lodge No. 501. Survived by daughters Louise Collins of
Middletown, Roxie Delude of Lodi, Ohio and Norma Hill of Stonington,
Conn.; son Herbert Cassidy of Middletown; sisters Ida McGraw of
Middletown, Dorothy Roark of Hamilton and Ethel Brewer of Cincinnati; 18
grandchildren. Rev. Clifford Lawson, Jr. officiated service at the
funeral home. Burial in Woodside Cemetery.

Leona Lawson
Mrs. Leona Lawson, 76, died at Middletown Hospital since suffering
a stroke. She had been living with son Paul K. Lawson, but had lived
in Middletown for 60 coming from Wellington, Ky. She was a member of
the First Christian Church and the Daughters of America. Her husband
Leonard died in 1918. Surviving are son Paul; sister Mrs. John Moore
of Batavia and Mrs. Joseph Durbin of Louisville; three
grandchildren. Services at the Riggs Funeral Home and burial in
Woodside Cemetery.

Owen Lawson
Owen C. Lawson, 84, retired Armco blacksmith, died Wednesday at the
home of his son Ova Lawson. The oldest member of Middletown Jefferson
Lodge 90 F&AM, he had received his 50-year pin seven years prior to his
death. Surviving are sons Ova and Jeff Lawson of Campton, Ky and a
daughter Mrs. Clarice Payne of Middletown; two brothers, Bruce of Salt
Lick, Ky and Cud Lawson of Middletown; one sister Mrs. Charles Reichter
of Middletown;p 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Services

half-brother Otis and Thomas Creekbaum of Middletown; half-sister Mrs.
Jenny Michael of Middletown; three grandchildren and six

Garden Manor. Born 25 Apr 1933 in Morgan County, Ky to James and
Effie Lawson. He served in the U.S.Army during the Korean War. A
member of the Towne Blvd. Church of God. He was preceded in death by
wife Nola in 2003, son William Michael Lawson in 1985 and brother
Lloyd Curtis Moore. Survived by daughters Penny Lawson, Brenda (Tina
Hackney) Lawson and Lorrie Lawson; sons, Kelly (Amanda) Lawson and
Tim Lawson; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren;
