Fred E. MARCUM, age 83 of
Fairfield passed away Monday, December 4, 2006 at Mercy
Hospital of Fairfield. He was born March 6, 1923 in London,
KY, the son of Steven T. and Dora (Brunner) Marcum. On June
27, 1942 he married Viola Proffitt in London, KY. Fred was a
Veteran of the US Navy and a member of Disabled American
Veterans Post #15 and the Laurel Avenue Church of Christ. He
is survived by his wife, Viola Marcum; daughters, Phyllis
(Dale) Phillips, Doris (Joe) McCollum, and Vicki (Jack)
Milam; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Fred was
preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be 5 p.m.
- until time of service (7 p.m.), Thursday, December 7, 2006
at the Laurel Avenue Church of Christ, 1049 Laurel Ave.,
Hamilton, OH 45015 with Charles Anderson offciating. Burial
will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorials
may be made to Mid-Western Children's Home, P.O. Box 48,
4581 Long Spurling Rd., Pleasant Plain, OH 45162. The family
