AGED FARMER DIED YESTERDAY
George W. Marsh, one of the most prominent farmers of Lemon
township, loved and respected by all after a long and useful life
yesterday laid down the burdens of the world and an upright man passed
to the realms of peace to enjoy the reward of a life devoted to
honorable pursuits.
Born eighty years ago, in the little village of Charleston, Penobscot
county, Maine. When a child his father immigrated to different parts of
the county going down the eastern coast around Florida and up the
Mississippi and Ohio, settled in the suburbs of Cincinnati.

died last February. He was a member of the Baptist church for forty
years and lived in the old home in which he died for forty-five years.
He leaves four children to mourn the loss of a good father, George E.,
of Hamilton, Albert, of Illinois, John H., and Willard.
For forty-three years there was no funeral at the Marsh homestead, but
in the last 17 months five funerals have been held from the house.
