Marie MCALLISTER, age 86, a resident of the Garden Manor Retirement Community, passed away Wednesday morning in Middletown Hospital. She was born in Ezel, Kentucky, January 21,1920, a daughter of Sam and Diancy (Bays) Collins. She was a longtime resident of Middletown, then lived in West Palm Beach, Florida for 30 years. She had worked as a Food Site Manager for the State. Mrs. McAllister was active in her churches all her adult life - the Grace Baptist Church of Middletown, and the Berean Baptist Church in Florida. She is survived by her 4 daughters, Genevieve Binkley of Indiana, Phyllis A. Furlow of Dayton, Ohio, Betty Jo McGill of New Carlisle, Ohio, and Patty Rainey of Florida; her 2 sons, Hobert E. Hellard of Daphne, Alabama, and Daniel T. Hellard of Trenton, Ohio; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Loretta King of West Liberty, Kentucky, and Wilma Crawford and her husband Carl of Lake Worth, Florida. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy in 1968; and by her husband, Joseph McAllister in 1985. Marie had devoted her life to Christ. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 28, at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with Pastor Howard Sears officiating. Friends may call from 10AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery.
