Arnold McCRACKEN
, Life changes in the instant and life as you know it ends. Arnie passed away at Hospice of Hamilton only hours after being transferred from home. As his life on earth ended and eternal life began he was surrounded and secure in the loving arms of his wife and children. He was born in London, Kentucky, on November 14, 1942, to William L. and Nellie (Deaton) McCracken. On May 9, 1964, Arnie married Sharon (McCoy) and they shared over 41 years of treasured memories and were blessed with two sons and a daughter. Arnie was so loved by his family and is survived by Sharon; sons, Brett (Wendy) McCracken and Craig (Melissa) McCracken; and daughter, Krista (Eric) Taylor. Arnie especially enjoyed his grandchildren and they loved Grandpa telling stories of his childhood and growing up. To cherish those memories are Tyler, Brendan and Abby McCracken; Matthew and Bailey McCracken; Madison, Ally and Lily Taylor. Arnie is also survived by three sisters, Coralie (Harold) Maggard, Carol (Ron) Johnson, and Connie (Mike) Winchester; sisters-in-law, Lucy McCracken, Louise McCracken, and Christine Crowthers; and brother-in-law, Gary McCoy. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Ronald and Harold. Arnie was a quiet soft-spoken man who will be missed by many. He was a skilled fisherman and enjoyed many vacations with family and friends at Watts Bar Lake in Tennessee. Numerous times his picture was For over 20 years special memories were created with the annual trip to Gatlinburg with longtime friends. To the sisters, the love and special attention you showered on Arnie made him feel so loved and truly helped him endure the last eight months. The family especially thanks Dr. Jennifer McLellan for her kindness and care. A heartfelt thanks to the staff of Hospice of Cincinnati (Hamilton) and especially Robin, Kari and Joyce. Services will be private at Webb Noonan Funeral Home.
