January 14, 1943 The Clay City
Times, Clay City, Powell County, Kentucky
Frank McQuinn
Frank McQuinn, age 63 years, died at his
home in Germantown, O., Friday, Jan. 1st.
Mr. McQuinn had been in failing health for
several months, suffering with high blood pressure and hardening of the
arteries. The end came as no surprise to his family, who had so
tenderly cared for him and did all to save him that mortal hands and
medical science could do to restore or prolong his life, but God in His
infinite wisdom saw fit to end him from a world of turmoil and sorrow to
a place of rest. He had united with the Missionary Baptist church, of
Middletown, O., last June, and made all preparations for a journey from
which no traveler has ever returned. He attended church and Sunday
school as long as he was able to get there, and his family weep not
without a hope that they can be reunited in a home where there will be
no death or separation. He will be greatly missed in the home. He
leaves behind his wife, Sarah Bryant McQuinn,
two sons, Percy and Fred McQuinn, one
daughter, Mrs. Kermit Duvall, all of Ohio, and three grandchildren. He
was a native of Wolfe County, but formerly lived at Slade, was employed
several years by L. & N.R.R. Co, as detective and is widely known in
eastern Kentucky, his remains were brought to Campton for burial, Jan.
4th. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist Church in Ohio and
later at the Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton, by Rev. J.C.
Everman. They body was accompanied here by
his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Fred McQuinn, Mr. and
Mrs. Percy McQuinn, Mr. and Mrs. Kermit
Duvall of Ohio, and Arnold Horn, a son-in-law, of Old Landing. Those
attending the burial from here were: Mr. and Mrs. Willie Profitt, Mrs.
Wm. Swope, Sr., Mrs. Harvey Sizemore, Mrs. Grace Faulkner, Miss Connie
Faulkner, Lindon Ewen, Billy
Vanoy, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Swope, Jr., Dr. M.I.
