Delbert
REFFITT, age 86, of Franklin Township, died Thursday,
January 4, 2007, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Salt
Lick, Kentucky on August 16, 1920 to parents Cyril and Lillie Mae
(McCarty) Reffitt. Mr. Reffitt worked in the scrap prep dept. for Armco
Steel Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 1982. He served his country
in the United States Army during World War II and was named the VFW Post
3809's most decorated veteran. He was the 2003 Grand Marshall of the
Middletown 4th of July Parade and was an avid softball fan. Mr. Reffitt
is survived by his wife, Mary (Crouch) Reffitt; daughters, Nancy L.
Mynhier and Cheryl Reffitt, both of Middletown; sons, Ray (Rebecca)
Reffitt of Middletown and Brett (Amy) Reffitt of Franklin;
daughter-in-law, Imogene Reffitt; good friends, Glen and Darren Fields;
11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his
son, James "Pete" Reffitt; parents; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters. Funeral
Service will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at
Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita
Dr.) with Reverend James Anderson officiating. Visitation will be
Tuesday, from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be at North
Monroe Cemetery.

Delores Reffitt
Delores Mays Reffitt, 78, of Lexington, formerly of Lee County, widow
of John T. Reffitt, went home to join the ones she loved on June 18, 2006,
at the Kenton Health Care Center. She was born Feb. 13th, 1928 in Lee
County,
daughter of the late William H. Mays and Joanna Durbin
Mays.
Survivors include three daughters, Lois J. Roberts, of Irvine, Kay Young
of Lexington, and Dolly Eversole of Winchester; a son Tommy Reffitt of
Ravenna;
two brothers Dewey Mays of Crystal, and Junice Mays of
Beattyville; two sisters
Willie Jo Huff of Anchorage, KY
and Dorothy Pasley of Beattyville; fourteen
grandchildren,
twenty three great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
She is also survived by all of her loving girls of the Special Care Unit
at Kenton
Health Care, Shelia, Linda,
Danielle, Carla, Pauline, Vickie, Diane, Phyllis, Lena,
Pat, Brian, and
Loretta. Also her Hospice Nurse Debbie Bishop, and so many good friends
that loved her.
Mrs.
Reffitt was preceded in death by a daughter Virgie Brinegar; two brothers,
Albert and Lester Mays; three sisters Elsie Gray, Eunice Cole, and Ellis
Gladen.
Services
will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Lewis Funeral Home, with Brad Allred
and Tim Hall officiating. Friends may call Tuesday after 6:00 PM. Burial
will be at the Logue Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. |

DEATH WINS THE BATTLE
Mrs. Junnie Reffitt
Deepest sorrow reigns in the hearts of the many friends of Mrs. Junnie
Reffitt who after many weeks of illness, passed away at her home in this
city on Elsemere avenue this morning. The deceased has been a patient
suffer and was prepared to meet her Maker when the call came.
She is survived by three brothers, Clarence, Elbert and Joseph Lawson,
two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Wells and Mrs. Emma McClung and to them the
deepest sympathy of a wide circle of friends is being extended today.
Funeral services will be held from the Church of Christ of which the
deceased was a prominent and active member until she became a victim of
ill health.

REFFITT, 84, of Wilmington, NC died Monday in Wilmington.
She was the widow of Dallas Reffitt. She is survived by six children,
Walter Roger Reffitt of Franklin, OH, Rodney Dean Reffitt of Middletown,
OH, Jerry R. Reffitt of Wilmington, NC, Doris Jean Banks of Waynesville,
OH, Georgia Fern Moon of Lebanon, OH and Linda Mae Reffitt of
Middletown, OH. Services wiil be Saturday, May 3 at the Botts Christian
Church in Frenchburg, KY with visitation from 11 til 2 PM on Saturday at
the Church. Taul Funeral Homes of Frenchburg in charge of arrangements.

Yvonne "Bonnie"
REFFITT, age 84, of Middletown passed away Saturday,
January 27, 2007 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born December 1, 1922
in Middletown to Prentice and Lydia Lawson. Bonnie worked as an operator
for Ohio Bell and was also a clerk for the US Postal Service. She was
the founder of the Mothers Auxiliary for Pee-Wee Football in Middletown
and was an avid Bengals and Ohio State fan. Bonnie was preceded in death
by her parents and husband, Cecil M. Reffitt in 1987. She is survived by
son, Dan L. Reffitt of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; daughter, Jan Rouster of
Middletown; five grandchildren, Daniel L. (Julie) Reffitt, Zach S.
(Heather) Reffitt, Katie (Eric) Pauling, Douglas S. (Audra) Rouster and
Tiffany N. (Ryan) Traud; great-granddaughters, Ella, Charlotte and Reese
Pauling, and Morgan Reffitt; and a sister, Zelma Males. A visitation
will be held Monday, January 29, 2007 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Baker-Stevens
Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday,
January 30, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment in Woodside
Cemetery.
