Linda L. SAMS, age 67, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Friday,
March 18, 2011 at Atrium Medical Center where she had been a patient
for one day. She was born January 2, 1944 in Middletown and lived here
all her life. She was a homemaker. Preceding her in death were her
father, Walter Sparks; her husband Robert Sams in 1976; one son, Bob
Sams; and brother-in-law, Nearl Lane. She is survived by two sons,
Kenny Sams and Donnie Sams; one daughter, Lisa Gentry; four
granddaughters, Sherri Gentry, Danielle Gentry, Kaytie Sams, and Mindy
Sams; four grandsons, Daniel Gentry, Bobby Sams, Jimmy Sams and
Michael Sams; six great grandchildren, Brayden Shepherd, Derek Sams,
Brooklyn Sams, Brycen Sams, Drake Sams, and Jimmy Sams; her mother,
Mary Lonicker; her step-mother, Charlene Sparks; four sisters, Cheryl
Camp, husband Dan, Theresa Smith, husband Rick, Debbie Douglas,
husband Bruce, and Candy Fellers, husband Dan; two brothers, Joe
Lonicker and Scott Lonicker; mother-in-law, Donna Lane; sister-in-law,
Linda Lamb; brother-in-law, Mike Lane; and numerous nieces and
nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 12 noon to
1:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown,
followed by services at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Lamb officiating.
Interment will be at
Middletown Cemetery. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral
