Anna Mae SHORT
, age 76 of Middletown, died Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the Garden Manor Extended Care Center. She was born January 17, 1930 in Stanton, Kentucky the daughter of Clarence E. and Nettie Allen. Mrs. Short is survived by her husband of 59 years, Clay Short; a son, Richard (wife, Pam) Short of Franklin; two grandchildren, Mary Ann (husband, Steve) Black of Xenia, Ohio and Richard A. Short of Franklin, Ohio; two sisters, Carol McNeeley of Clay City, Kentucky and Barbara Roark of Peru, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and four brothers. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend Randy Wallace officiating. Visitation will be 5-7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.

Grace SHORT, - Grace was 65 years old at the time of her death. She passed away unexpectedly at her residence in Hamilton on Friday, June 5, 2009. Grace was born on October 24, 1943 in Jackson, KY, the daughter of the late Enoch Stamper and Mae (Bryant) Roberts. Grace was preceded in death by her parents; brother, LaRue Stamper; sisters, Bobby Jean (Speed) Singleton, Phyllis Acton, and Geneva (Blue) Anderson; brother, Ollie Stamper; sister-in- law, Sam Stamper; and her dog, Dutchess. She leaves behind her children Harold (Barb) Parsons, Rufus (Lisa) Parsons, and Nikki (Tony) Edmondson; grandchildren, Jason, Lindsey, Justin, Cammy, Casey, Aiden, and Kaleb; sister, Pauline (Charles) Mills; brothers, Charles Stamper, Troy (Vickie) Stamper, Tom (Roberta) Stamper, and Paul Stamper; sister-in-laws, Faye Stamper and Shirley Stamper; many nieces, nephews and several great-nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Gladys Hill and Shawnee Handley. Pallbearers are sons, Rufus and Harold Parsons; grandsons, Jason and Justin Parsons; son-in-law, Tony Edmondson; and nephew, Jonathan Mills. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staffs of Hospice of Hamilton and Mercy Hospital of Fairfield, tower 4. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Ave., Hamilton, OH 45013. Sarah E. SHORT
, age 89, of Trenton went home to be with the Lord March 30, 2012 at Atrium Medical Center. She was born August 16, 1922 in Breathitt County, KY to Bill and Serina (McQueen) Strong. Sarah was a homemaker. She attended First Church of God. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Short; son, Marvin Short; 3 sisters; 2 brothers. Sarah is survived by children, Sophia (Jim) Malott of Hillsboro, Bill (Vicki) Short of Trenton, Jackie (Bridget) Short of Middletown, Willard (Tina) Short of Houston, TX, BJ (Bill) Byrd of Flower Mound, TX, Wendell (Rebecca) Short of London, KY; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Donald Strong of Middletown, Ollie Strong of Monroe; sister, Flossie Haddix of Erlanger, KY. A special thank you to Dr. VanValkenburg and his special nurse, Claire for the love and care they gave her. A visitation will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. Interment will be at Jackson Cemetery, Jackson, KY.
