Jack SLOAN Jr, age 52, of Hamilton, passed away at Ft.
Hamilton Hospital on Friday February 17, 2006 at 10:49 a.m. He was born
in Berea, Kentucky on January 11, 1954 the son of Jack Sr. and Juanita
(Harper) Sloan. Jack was employed as a laborer for the Miami Western
Company, and attended the Pentecostal Highway of Holiness Church. In
February of 1972, in Newport, Kentucky he married Carol Ann Kearns, who
passed away in 1999. He is survived by three sons, Spencer Sloan and his
wife Alicia of Hamilton, Robert Sloan and his wife Joanna of Somerville,
and Stacy Sloan of Hamilton; two daughters, Jackie Brock and her husband
Billy and Donnita Sloan all of Hamilton; nine grandchildren, Brianna,
Tristan, Stephanie, Melissa, Marissa, Olivia, Jonathan, Savanna, and
Maliya; two sisters, Diana Payne and Velencia Gray both of Hamilton; his
mother- in-law, Doris Kearns of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, several
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law all of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; and many
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a
brother, Larry Sloan; his father- in-law; and two brothers-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at Pentecostal Highway of Holiness Church,
3470 Hamilton-Middletown Rd. on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 10:00
a.m. with Rev. W. Craig Inman pastor of the church, and Rev. Billy
Brock, Jack's son-in-law, officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill
Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday after 5:00
pm.
