FRANKLIN - Dearl R. Smith, 25, of 8644 Deardoff Road, died at 5 a.m. today at Grandview Hospital in Dayton where he was taken after suffering a heart attack at home last night.
    Mr. Smith was employed as an engineer and technician by the Ralph A. Woolpert Co., Dayton.
    Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Smith, with whom he made his home; a brother, Terry, at home; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Collins of Thornhill, Tennessee.
    Arrangement are incomplete at the Eaton Funeral Home.

Mary Ellen
SMITH, age 78, of Middletown, formerly of Franklin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband, daughter and son on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. She was born January 11, 1934 in Buckhorn, Kentucky, the daughter of Willie Terry and Martha (Riley) Terry. She met and married William Thomas Smith on December 26, 1953. Mary had many fond memories of her working days with the ladies in the cafeteria at Franklin Junior High School and being a bus aide for the children in Winchester, Kentucky. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church - Franklin. Mary's greatest joy was spending time with her relatives in Indiana, taking care of her family and her precious three grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband, Bill; one daughter, Linda Sue (husband, Kenny) Hurt of Springboro; one son, David Thomas (wife, Earlene) Smith of Middletown; one granddaughter, Ashley E. Smith; two grandsons, William Tyler Hurt and Ryan Thomas Smith; one sister, Thelma (husband, Edward) Johnson of Austin, IN; three brothers, Troy (wife, Betty) Terry of Sellersburg, IN, Paul (wife, Pat) Terry of Frankfort, KY, Bob (wife, Pat) Terry of Dublin, OH; many nieces and nephews; and numerous close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Dorothy Holland. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday at the First Baptist Church, 16 W. Second Street, Franklin with Reverend Vernon Risner officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Thursday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Woodhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties.

Ruby A. SMITH, age 87 of Hamilton passed away at Wellington Manor on Thursday, December 24, 2009. She was born in Clay County, Kentucky on May 1, 1922 the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Scott) Hubbard. She is survived by two sons, Glenn (Gerri) Smith of Forest Park and Stan (Karen) Warner of Hamilton; a daughter, Diana (Victor) Johantges of Springboro; a brother, Michael (Liz) Hubbard of Hamilton; a sister, Lucy Arnold of Hamilton; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Herbert C. Warner in 1956; her second husband, Albert C. Smith in 2008; two brothers, Joseph and William Hubbard; and a sister, Thelma Philpot. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM. LEBANON - Funeral services for Samuel M. Smith, 61, of 1205 Pendleton St., Cincinnati, were held at 2 p.m. today at Vale Funeral Home in Morrow, with burial in Lebanon Cemetery.
    Mr. Smith, an employee of the Neuer Glass Co. of Cincinnati, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at Bethesda Hospital.
    Surviving are a stepson, Homer Frank of Bethel; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Eleanor Eckel of Lebanon.

Willie SMITH, age 84 of Carlisle passed away Monday, May 1, 2006. Willie was born in Perry County, KY. On March 7, 1922 to the late Floyd and Cora (Deaton) Smith. He was an Army veteran of WWII and retired from West Carrollton Parchment Paper Company. Willie was a member of Community Jesus Church in Carlisle. He was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Juanita; one son, Darrell Dwayne Smith of Carlisle; two brothers, Hershel Smith of Calisle, Floyd Smith of AZ and one sister, Mona Hatfield of Middleport, OH. Funeral service will be Thursday, May 4, 2006 at 1PM at the Community Jesus Church on Wallace Lane in Carlisle, OH with Rev. Henry Neace and Rev. Martin McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery in Monroe, OH. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-8PM at the church. Arrangements Sanner Funeral Home, West Carrollton.
