Aura TURNER, age 92 of Fairfield, died Saturday May 16, 2009 in Ft. Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Spring Creek, Clay County, Kentucky on February 20, 1917 the daughter of Thomas and Myrtle (Helton) Bowling. On September 11, 1935 in Liberty, Indiana, she married Thomas T. Turner and he preceded her in death on October 5, 1988. Mrs. Turner had worked as a department manager at Rinks, for twenty years, retiring in 1984. Survivors include a son, Thomas and (Ruth) Turner, of Hamilton; a granddaughter, Rebecca (Jerry) Garner; two great grandchildren, Joshua and Nicole Garner; two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Cledith Humbach, and Marie Schuster. Besides her husband; she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Carrie Wilson and Ann Castator. Visitation and funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

Doris Jean Granny TURNER, age 72, of Hamilton, passed away Friday, August 27, 2010. Granny was born in Leslie County, Kentucky on April 10, 1938. She is survived by two daughters, Kandy Staples and Tammy Scrivner; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. Granny will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 AM til time of service at 11:00 AM at the Colligan Funeral Home. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

Earl
TURNER, age 94, of Hamilton, died Friday, January 1, 2010 at Hospice of Hamilton. Earl was born in Irvin, Kentucky on July 25, 1915 to William and Indus (Becknell) Turner. On October 25, 1932 in Kentucky he married Iona Miller who preceded him in death on March 12, 2008 after being married 75 years. Earl was owner and operator of his own cement contracting business. He was an avid coon hunter and was a member of the Butler County Coon Hunters Association, winning multi awards. He will miss and be missed by all who knew him, especially by his friends at the office (Becky's Donuts). He is survived by one son, David (Jean) Turner; five grandchildren, Linda (Mike) Sapp, Paula Elfrink, Kenny (Pam) Turner, Dennis (Ada) Turner, Lora (Greg) Gentry; 13 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Lucille Turner, Rethie Turner, and Marie (Stanton) Clark. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Marie Richardson; a grandson, Doug Richardson; a great-grandson Austin Turner; three brothers, Charlie Turner, Ewey Turner, and Dallis Turner; and three sisters, Jeanette Bebe, Mamie Durm, and Mae Turner. Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., on Tuesday, January 5th at 12 noon with Rev. Randy Sapp of Tuley Road Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12 noon. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati. Earl's family extends a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of Hospice of Hamilton and to dear friend Sally Estridge for their care and concern.

Edward TURNER, age 78 of Oxford passed away Wednesday March 11, 2009 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born October 13, 1930 in Crockettville, Kentucky the son of the late Sam and Cordela Turner. Mr. Turner was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army. On July 3, 1954 in Madison, Indiana he married Bertha Branham. He worked as a welder for 35 years at Diebold, retiring in 1988. Mr. Turner enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, and in recent years enjoyed birdwatching, especially purple martins. He is survived by his wife, Bertha Turner; three sons, Sam Turner of Oxford, Daniel (Chloe) Turner of Trenton, and Gary (Kim) Turner of Hamilton; two daughters, Carrie (Mike) Owens of Monroe and Theresa (Kirk) Bataille of Union; grandchildren, Sean (Natasha) Harris, Michael Turner, Matthew Turner, Joey Miracle, David Miracle, Megan Turner, Drew Turner, and the late Christy Lynn Turner; great grandchildren, Christie McKenzie Turner and Jaden McKenzie Harris, and three sisters Julie Sigmon, Verlie (Charles) Aldridge, and Liza (Harvey) Wilson. Visitation at the Weigel Funeral Home 980 NW Washington Blvd., Hamilton, Monday March 16, 2009 from 1:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Hobart Brandenburg, officiating. Burial to follow with full military honors in Darrtown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Salvation Army. THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield is serving the family.

Elliott
TURNER, was called home on Friday, June 5 following complications from heart disease. He is survived by one son, Dana Elliott Turner (Sharon Lamb) of Germantown, granddaughter Jordan Watkins of Monroe, grandson Alex (Jamie) Turner of Franklin, and three beloved great granddaughters, Khylie Page Turner, Chloah Turner, and Addison Elliott Rose Turner, daughter-in-law, Julie Turner of Hamilton, and sister-in-law Belinda Hurley West of Franklin, and Loving Companion Kathryn Eich of Middletown. He is survived by brothers James Robert (Ida Bea) Turner of Franklin, Lonzo Turner of Jackson, KY, and Talbert (Becky) Turner of Franklin, Logan (Edna) Turner of Wooster, OH, sisters, Jenny Ruth (Kenneth) Russell of Franklin, and Archie Opal (Cash) Campbell of Jackson, KY. He was preceded in death by precious mother Susan and father, Talbert Turner, infant brother Marcus, four sisters Flossie Campbell, Nannie Millie Smith, Frankie May Bates, and Mima Ann Turner. Elliott served in the U. S. Army as Sgt 1st Class and was a decorated veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Oxford Miami Paper Company and General Motors retiring from Delco Moraine, and was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star Lodge #55 F&AM. He will be sorely missed. Funeral services are Tuesday June 9, 2009 at 10am at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St Franklin, OH with Rev. Frank Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8pm at the funeral home.

Irvin TURNER Jr., age 82, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Atrium Medical Center where he had been a patient for 17 days. He was born May 7, 1930 in Breathitt County, Kentucky, was raised in Indiana, and lived in Ohio since he was 19 years of age. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a crane operator at Armco Steel retiring in 1996 after 42 years of service. Irvin was a member of the Secret Dwelling Place Church, where he served as President of the Board of Trustees. Preceding him in death were his parents, Irvin Turner, Sr. and Tabitha (Riley) Turner; one grandson, Jason Baker; and he was the last of nine brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 31 years on December 28, Emma (Melton) Turner; two children, Steve Turner, wife Debi and Sherry Howell, husband Jack; one step-son, Junior Baker, wife Carol; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and his church family. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by services at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Roy Shepherd officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, Ohio. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.

Jack V. TURNER, age 77 of Okeana passed away at Heartland of Mt. Airy on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 11:30 PM. He was born in Clay County, Kentucky on February 21, 1932 the son of Clyde B. and Mallie (York) Turner. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1949 to 1956, where he received two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star with Valor, and the Korean Service Medal with six Bronze Stars with an Oak Leaf Cluster. He was employed as a roofer for Kelley & Carpenter Roofing and Sheet Metal for 30 years, retiring in 1985. Jack was a member of Millville Baptist Church and a former member of Amvets. On November 10, 1956 in Liberty, Indiana he married Wanda Isaacs. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Turner of Okeana; one son, Roger (Trish) Turner of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Emily Ann Turner and Ethan Wayne Turner; two brothers, Theron (Linda) Turner of Chicago, Illinois and Danny Turner of Connersville, Indiana; two sisters, Darlene Mobley of Brookville, Indiana and Barbara Jean Fouts of Hamilton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Wilma Gabbard. Funeral service will be held the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, May 18, 2009 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Hobert Brandenburg and Dr. Richard Rhodus officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.

 Jesse Lee TURNER, age 83
of Franklin passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Dayton VA Hospital. He was born February 10, 1926 in Wolf Coal, KY the son of Alex and Nannie Turner. Jesse was retired from Miami Paper and served in the Army Air Core during WWII. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Len; four brothers, Archie, Samie, Logan, and Wilson; and two sisters, Susan and Jennie. Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Georgia; a daughter, Judy Mills; a brother, TJ (Geniva) and a sister, Sally (Charlie). He is also survived by three grandchildren, Mike Mills (Missy), Sean Mills (Brandy), and Liz Harris (Jason) and eight great grandchildren, Whitney, Jessica Lynn, Taylor, Michael, Rachel, Jamie, Rease, and Eli and numerous nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law Leonard and Lois Raleigh, Robert and Blanche Spicer, Beulah Turner, and Mima Turner. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 10:00 am with Reverend Vernon Risner officiating at Anderson Funeral Home (Franklin) Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery.

June 2, 1941 in Altro, KY the son of Jesse and Armine Turner. He is preceded in death his parents; his wife Lillie; a son, Glenn Turner; five brothers and four sisters. Jesse is survived by his three daughters, Rita Ferguson, Rose Lewis, Vicki Kokoski; three brothers and one sister. He is also survived by seven grandsons, one granddaughter and one great grandchild. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 21, 2010 at The Altro Church of God in Altro, KY. Visitation will be from 5-7 Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Anderson Funeral Home (Franklin) and from 1-3 before the service at the church in Alto, KY.

Loris TURNER, age 78, of Middletown, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at Hospice of Butler and Warren County. She was born August 7, 1931 in Hazard, KY to DeCoursey and Lillian (Barker) Roberts. She was a school bus driver for Middletown City Schools for 26 years, retiring in 1995. Loris was an avid bingo player and the joy of her life was her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Monroe Turner; daughter, Karen Turner; twin sister, Doris Eldridge; brothers, Frank Roberts, Harold Roberts. Loris is survived by her children, Kimberly (Robert) Cooper, Randy (Deborah) Turner, Pam Manning; grandchildren, Madeline Cooper, Cameron Cooper, Colin Cooper, Joni Turner, Michael (Tracy) Turner, Tammy Turner; great-grandchildren, Samantha Hamilton, David Bull, Jake Turner and numerous nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Cathy Manning, DeLillian Duncan and Terri King. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Rodney Williams officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Butler and Warren County, Renaissance Professional Building, 5904 Long Meadow Drive, Franklin, OH 45005.
