The Middletown Daily Signal Middletown, Ohio
The case of Sallie
Rupert against her husband Sherman Rupert wherein he was charged by her
for abuse and striking, came before Mayor Tanzy this morning at 8
o'clock, but Sallie failed to materialize even up to 9 o'clock, when
Sherman was allowed to go and the case was dismissed.
Considerable complaint is heard throughout the city, of boys breaking
the glass in the boxes in which the key to the fire alarm box hangs,
thus exposing the key and giving the opportunity for anyone to turn in a
false alarm. Some of them will soon be detected, if persisted in. Look
out boys.
William Sebald, living on South Yankee Road, was arrested today upon a
warrant charging him with cruelty to animals. He was brought before the
Mayor at 10 o'clock, and to the charge pleaded not guilty, when the case
was set for hearing at 9 o'clock of next Thursday, Dec. 16.
