Celebrates Opening Day
Old glory was a flopping and a flying in the breezes as
though it was more pleased with all the surroundings from the tall flag
pole on the lawn of the beautiful country home of Hon. S. K. Hughes near
LeSourdsville, O., all in honor of the opening day of the fifty-ninth
Butler County Fair. Mr. Hughes, an ex-president of the fair board, always
sends old glory high on the opening day of Butler county's greatest fair
on earth.

Show His Colt
Mr. R. C. Wilbur will have his colt down to the big
fair at Hamilton this week where he will show it in the show ring for
youngsters. Wilbur has a beauty and he feels now as though he was on
speaking terms with the man behind the ribbon counter.

Fine Pair of
Sorrels
Andy Brown, one of the great horsemen in
Germantown, was here at noon today on his way to the Butler county fair
with a fine pair of sorrels as you would care to see. Andy will be found
in the match team light harness show horses at the big fair and it looks
as though he was close to the ribbons.

Run Nail in His
Foot
Mr. Nate Padonner stepped on a board which had a nail
sticking out of it that went into his foot. He thought little about the
thing at first but today his foot hurt him so bad he had to keep his
weight off it. The wish of all his friends is that he will soon be himself
again. |
