1. PHILIP2 WILKIN (GODFREY1) was born 1753 in Frederick Co. VA., and died September 02, 1832 in Hardy co VA. He married ANNA LAYMAN April 29, 1788. She died  and is buried Old Dutch Cemetery New Market twp.

he served as a member of Co. G. 13th Reg OVI during the civil war. he took part in numerous battles, was present to witness Gen. Lee's surrender at Appomattox

Notes for REBECCA J. HART:
His mother is believed to have married a Roush as his dad died in 1928, his mother died in 1940. Although not much is known about Wilford Wilkin. They talked about a half brother yet the mews paper stated quote. "Wilford Wilkin, 80, of bay street, Roseland, died Jan 30 at home. , a retired farmer. He had resided in the area for 14 years. Survivors include his wife, Madge Wilkin a niece; and a nephew. The family will receive friends and Pottinger and son funeral home. Sebastian, on Saturday from 2 to 4 PM, with services at 4. Dr Darcy Cooke will officiate. Further funeral services and interment will be in Hillsboro, Ohio.

Rebecca was married to Noah Roush. She had six children and was the mother of Wilford Wilkin, but married John Wilkins after the six..

Madge left home at the age of 12 and lived with Birch Vanzant and his wife in Hillsboro, at age 21 was married.

MADGE VANZANT WAS STAYING WITH BIRCH VANZANT AND HIS WIFE BISTHA A. IN HILLSBORO, OHIO AT THE TIME OF THE 1920 CENSUS. MADGE WAS ONLY 17 AT THE TIME.
