MRS. ELMER
HUNTER
Word has
been received by relatives here of the death of Mrs. Elmer Hunter (nee
Byrda McConnaughey) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herbert
Lauterbach, in Portsmouth, VA last month. Funeral services and
internment were held there.
Mrs.
Hunter was born in New Market, and lived in this county until about 30
years ago. She was approximately 80 years of age at the time of
her death. Her husband, the late Elmer Hunter, was also born in this
county. He died about 25 years ago.
She is
survived by the daughter with whom she resided and a niece, Mrs. Leone
Rogers of this city.
