Vera Cochran
Vera Cochran, 93, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012 at The
Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born in Highland County on Sept. 26, 1918, the daughter of the
late Joseph and Effie (Roberts) Strain.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death on April 15, 1989 by her
husband, Harold Roush Cochran, whom she married July 30, 1938; one
daughter, Shirleen Arledge; two sisters; and three brothers.
She was a member of the Danville Church of Christ and owned and
operated Harold Cochran Butchering for several years.
She is survived by one son-in-law, [omitted]; two grandsons, [omitted]; one brother, [omitted]; four
great-grandchildren, [omitted]; two
great-great-grandchildren, [omitted]; and several nieces,
nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at the
Thompson Funeral Home with Darrin Sanderson officiating. Burial will
follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday from noon till time of service at the funeral
home.
