Sue Cadwallader Dunn
Nina Sue Dunn, 89, of Wilmington, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2006 at Quaker Heights in Waynesville. Born June 23, 1917 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Nancy Wilkin Cadwallader. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Wilmington and the Quilt Club, active in the Wilmington Senior Center and graduated from Lynchburg High School in 1934. She married John D. Dunn on Feb. 11, 1937. He preceded her in death Jan. 1, 1995. She is survived by her children, [names omitted]; grandchildren, [names omitted]; great-grandchildren,[names omitted] ; numerous nieces and nephews; a brother, Hugh Cadwallader of Danville; and a sister, Faye Faris of Wilmington. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, John Arthur Dunn; sisters, Ruth Dolphin, Mozelle Bloom and Margene Vance; and brothers, Winsor, Roy, Doyle and Dale Cadwallader. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Wilmington. Burial will be in the Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington. Friends may call at the church from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
