Raymond H. Green
Raymond H. Green, 93, of Hillsboro, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 at the Crestwood Nursing Home in Hillsboro. He was born April 27, 1917 in Indianapolis, Ind., son of the late John E. and Lola (True) Green. He married Neva Green, who preceded him in death in December 1968. Raymond retired from Robert Shaw as a machinist, had worked as an auto mechanic for Matson Chevrolet, and was also a farmer. He was a member of the New Market Baptist Church. Surviving are his daughter, [names omitted]; daughter-in-law, [names omitted]; 13 great-grandchildren [names omitted]; five great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, [names omitted] ; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Green; two brothers; and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 26 at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St., Hillsboro with pastor Harold Arthur officiating. Interment will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery, New Market. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25 at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home.
