Catherine Greene
Dortha Catherine Greene, 86, of Hillsboro, died Friday, July 3, 2009 at Highland District Hospital. She was born July 15, 1922 in Leesburg, the daughter of the late John T. and Gertrude Ann Carl Riley. Mrs. Greene had worked for several years for the Kmart Corp. in Hillsboro. She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ and the Highland County Senior Citizens. She is survived by four grandchildren, [names omitted]; eight great-grandchildren, [names omitted]; and one niece, [name omitted]. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Fernald H. Greene, on Oct. 15, 1996; one daughter, Ramona Ross; one son, Gary L. Greene; one sister, Wilmuth Clifton; and five brothers, Darel, Emil, Herbert, Leo and Robert Riley. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. John Porter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
