Ella Mae Karnes
Ella Mae Karnes, 86, of Greenfield, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012 at the
Highland District Hospital.
She was born in Highland County on July 23, 1925, the daughter of the
late J.D. and Nellie (Whisler) Ross.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul
Karnes, on Oct. 8, 2006; and three brothers, Harry Ross, John Ross and
Paul Ross.
She was a member of the Fall Creek Friends Church, Highland County
Senior Citizens, USFW and was a graduate of Greenfield McClain High
School.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, [omitted] ; one
daughter and son-in-law, [omitted] ; one brother and
sister-in-law, [omitted] ; one sister, [omitted] ; five
grandsons, [omitted] ; and nine
great-grandchildren, [omitted].
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 6 at 10 a.m. at the
Thompson Funeral Home with Scott Lattimer officiating. Burial will
follow in the Stringtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday,
Jan. 5 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
