Roy Matthew Kirschner


Roy Matthew Kirschner, 40, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 at his residence.

He was born August 20, 1967 in Georgetown, the son of Jerry Kirschner of Hillsboro and the late Ruby Mae Crawford Kirschner. He was a Corrections Officer with the Orient State Corrections Facility and worked part-time as a meat cutter of Just Meats in Chillicothe. He was a member and past president of the Hillsboro Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1141 and a member of the Sons of AmVets in Chillicothe.

In addition to his father, he is survived by one daughter, [name omitted] and one son, [name omitted]both at home; four sisters,  [names omitted]; nieces and nephews, [names omitted]; and great-nieces and great-nephews [names omitted].

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by, one sister, Carol Sue Kirschner; one brother, Thomas Michael Kirschner; and grandparents, Roy and Garnet Kirschner and Henry and Cecelia Crawford.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the New Market Cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Fraternal Order of Eagles memorial services will be held at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
