Ruby Mae Crawford Kirschner

Ruby Mae Kirschner, 61, of Hillsboro died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006 at her residence.

She was born March 4, 1944 in Higginsport, the daughter of the Grace Cecelia (Hiser) Crawford of Georgetown and the late Henry Crawford.

Mrs. Kirschner had worked as a cook for several years. She was a member and past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1161 Auxiliary and had been a charter member of the AmVets Auxiliary.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, [name omitted], whom she married on Jan. 25, 1964 in Georgetown; [names omitted] one son, Roy Kirschner of Hillsboro; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers, [names omitted], and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, one son, Thomas Michael Kirschner, and one daughter, Carol Sue Kirschner.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 16 from 5-8 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Eagles Auxiliary services will be conducted at 7:45 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Care Hospice, P. O. Box 123, Wilmington, Ohio or to Highland County Society for Children and Adults.

The Turner & Son Funeral Home is in charge of cremation services.
