Elbert Wooton

Elbert Wooton, 83, of Hillsboro, died Sunday morning, June 10, 2007 at his residence.

He was born Feb. 14, 1924 in Solar, Ky., the son of Jackson and Polly Jane Fuget Wooton.

Mr. Wooton had retired from the Delco Products division of General Motors in Dayton after thirty-two years of service as a job-setter. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving in in North Africa during World War II.

He is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law [names omitted] , nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, one brother, [name  omitted] and two sisters,  [names omitted].

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Louise Wooton on July 21, 2002 and by four brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be held 6 p.m. Thursday at the New Market Community Church. Karen Kemper will officiate.

Burial will take place privately in the New Market Baptist Cemetery.

Friends may call on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the New Market Community Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5378 Cox Smith Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
