Hester M. (Hottle) Young, 92, of Akron, formerly of Hillsboro, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008 at the Akron City Hospital. She was born March 6, 1915, in Hillsboro to Lloyd and Elma Hottle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, who together spent 34 happy years of marriage raising a family in Columbus. She returned to Hillsboro to care for her mother and spent her retirement in Akron, enjoying her two daughters and grandchildren. Hester loved people and life. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, [names omitted]; brother and sister-in-law, [names omitted]; and grandchildren, [names omitted]. Friends may call at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 11:30 a.m. until noon with the funeral to follow at noon with Pastor Roger Mize officiating.
