This branch comes from the Jefferson County area but Obertance's settled from here to Cleveland and are spread across the United States.

One daughter, Elizabeth, married Angus MCDONALD in Salem in 1869.I know the names of only two other children, Margaret (born 3 November, 1855 in Bothwell, and Janet, christened 10 November 1845 at Old Monkland, both in Lanarkshire, Scotland. However I also know that in about 1910 one son of the McAULAYs was living in Youngstown, and daughters were living in Salem and New Philadelphia. Unfortunately I do not know their Christian names, nor the daughters married names. I'd be really grateful for any help.
