Michael and Winifred(Murray) GRADY
came to US from Salop, England. They lived in Salineville or Summitville.
Winifred and several of the children died there and according to family
history are buried at St. John's Catholic Church. The four children were
Michael, Thomas, Owen and "Little Winifred." Winifred was forn in 1838 in
Ireland and married Michael Grady in on May 28, 1859 in the District of
Wellington in Salop, England. Winifred died (I think) on March 12, 1880. It
appears that at least two other children were born in Summitville. Ellen
Grady was born in 1872 and Mary was born in 1870. Based on what little we
know at this point, it would appear that they came to the US between 1859 -
1870. After Winifred's death, Michael moved to Shawnee, oH with their five
other children, Jack, Frank, Mary, Ellen and James. It is not known if they
were born in Summitville.
