Three RENKENBERGER families appear on the 1820 census inColumbiana Co., headed by Frederick, George, and George. How are these familiesconnected? The younger George RENKENBERGER married Catherine ESTERLY, a daughter ofMichael ESTERLY.The older George arrived with his family from Wuerttemberg in 1818. His daughter Barbara married Alexander DILLEY in 1834. Was Frederick RENKENBERGER connected with George Rapp, the religiousleader from Wuerttemberg who founded the Harmony Society?

Edward SCHMECK and his wife Hannah (MOSER) Schmeck lived in Ohio from 1836 to 1846. They lived in Columbiana Co. in 1840. Edward's brother, William H. SCHMECK/SCHMICK married Rhoda Brookhart ca. 1837. They lived in Canfield in 1850. Angeline Schmick married Gideon Rupert in Columbiana Co. on 5 March 1846.
