This extraction of the name changes that went into place was found more than likely in the 1906-1907 Cleveland City Directory. I am not sure, but I purchased it and "extracted" the information for this site. Below is the Explaination from the front page of the index. Everything that was mentioned in the name change descriptions is here. The only thing I don't have here is the map along with the map coordinates that were mentioned in the descriptions. If I can find a copy of that map, I will get it up here. My suggestions at this time would be to get a county map book (the ones with the red covers are about the best ones to me) and compare the names and then find the locations that way. EXPLANATION On referring to this Directory, it will be noticed that the names of streets, avenues, etc., follow each other in strictly alphabetical order, without regard to location. In Directory parlance the points of the compass are used as a designation and not as a part of the street name. The city is divided into four divisions, viz: NE., SE., NW., and SW. The employment of these compass points is advisableif not necessary, and we give them as an additional means of locating any given street more readily. This street and Avenue Guide will be found unique in ti's conception an arrangement, and it is presented with the assurance that it is as near perfect as the recent sweeping changes in street names will allow.
