Orange Township, when originally surveyed, was known as Township 7 in Range 10 of the Connecticut New Western Reserve. The governmental body was formed in 1813. Most of the township was incorporated into villages. The remainder of the township became Chagrin Falls Township which, other than the village which lies within it, is only about 1/2 square mile. It is one of only two functioning townships in Cuyahoga as of 2013. A part of its property was annexed from Bainbridge in Geauga County. (Information from Wikipedia)
