ANDREWS, SOJKA, SUITA, ZACK, ZAKRAJSEK posted by Heather Rowe on Sunday, January 3, 1999
Researching information on my g-grandparents: Joseph and Antonia ZAKRAJSEK. They lived in a Slavenian neighborhood off of St. Clair near MLK. They died in the 1970's and are burried in Lakeview Cemetery. Their two children are August and Joseph, Jr. August is my grandpa who generally went by Gus. When he was in the airforce, he changed his last name to ANDREWS. Grandpa married Marion SUITA, daughter of Ignatius and Rosalie (SOJKA), of Yonkers, NY. After retiring from the airforce, they moved to Eastlake with their two daughters Donna and Jeannie. From there, they moved to Euclid. Joseph Jr. changed his last name to ZACK and settled in Yonkers, NY. He first married Minnie ?. They had three children: Darryl, Laura and Celeste. Joseph ZACK then married Dorris ?, also from Yonkers NY. Joseph and Dorris now live in Ft. Meyers, FL. Any further information on the ZAKRAJSEK family would be very much appreciated. Both Joseph and Antonio moved here from Slovenia before they were married I believe. They came to Cleveland for work. Grandpa has passed on and Gr-Uncle Joe is just too old to give me any further information. My grandma Marion is now in her late 70's and it would mean a great deal to her to find any information on her or Grandpa Gus's family. Heather pearlvjuel@aol.com
