HUGH, KILBANE, LAUGHLIN, LOUGHLIN posted by Joni Leffler on Thursday, April 6, 2000
My gg. grandparents, Catherine Kilbane and Michael Mc Laughlin/Mc Loughlin were married between 1855-1862 in Ireland or U. S. Catherine and Michael settled in Dellona Twp., Sauk Co., WI about 1862-1870. Can't find marriage record. Many Kilbanes settled in the Cleveland area starting in 1880's. Catherine's Kilbane relatives eventually settled in Wonewoc Twp., Juneau Co., WI. Catherine's parents were likely Bernard Kilbane and Margaret (Mary) Mc Hugh from Achill Parish, County Mayo, Ireland. Bernard died in Ireland, but Margaret immigrated to U. S. Is there an index to marriages in Cleveland between 1855-1862 or do I request a search from County Courthouse? Please advise. Thanks!

KILCHER, LANTZ, LENTZ, LENZ posted by Kathy Fehrman on Thursday, April 6, 2000
Looking for the family of Katherine KILCHER, b.abt.1900. Married John LENTZ 20 May 1920 in Miami, but made their home in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County until 1935. John was a prominent attorney in Cleveland (family rumor has it that he was forced to leave Cleveland when he took mob members to court). While living in Cleveland John and Katherine had 2 boys, Conrad Joel LENTZ, and John (Jack) LENTZ. After leaving Cleveland the family came to Dawson, Minnesota where John died in 1943. We believe Katherine and the 2 boys returned to Cleveland to be with her family. We are trying to get any information about her and the boys. Anyone with even a small clue please let me know. We have located all of the LENTZ family except Johns and have quite a family history to share. The surname has been found spelled LENZ and LANTZ but not very often.
